I couldn't go last night but at the end of the match they showed Enzo waving to the crowd and then a cropped close up of the section and it looked superb with the bouncing and flags.

Its great credit to those that are still there. Its just a huge shame half the seats are empty.

I’m a boring old fart so I did the decent thing and sat in the West Stand.

Plenty of us in H1 join in with the songs we know. Some of the more complicated ones are difficult to pick up and so they are sang less. I don’t know why people get so stressed though. The atmosphere ebbs and flows depending on what’s going on on the pitch. When we are playing great and creating lots of opportunities the atmosphere is loud. When we started looking nervy, the crowd get nervy. When the team are playing for time then the atmosphere drops. Sheff Wed fans were loud at the point that they were in the ascendency, when they were getting outplayed they were quiet.

The work this year to get unique songs for so many of players is excellent work by the fans. Rather than the usual duh duh duh *player name*.

We can be very self critical as a fan base - sometimes justifiable. However, this is definately a pat on the back.

That's something that gets commented on when we have guests in the section from other parts of Europe, particularly Germany. Lots and lots of songs for just players rather than the team/club isn't the norm elsewhere. I quite like it personally but the only issue is when the player leaves you lose the song too. Soyuncu's one to UB40 was one of my favourites for a long while but then you lose it completely. Balancing act I guess.

Never understand this to be honest.. if anything that’s the time when the atmosphere should be at its loudest to get them over the finish line..

to many times this season it’s happened.. look at Ipswich home, dominated the game, fell into the trap of nerves and panicking.. the inevitable happens and half the ground pile out frustrated.. but if they had opened their mouths and shown support maybe it wouldn’t have felt like a loss and would have given the team a boost to play better..

you don’t see it at horse racing do you? Horses jump over the final fence and the crowd are so nervous they are silent.. no they are literally jumping and urging their horse forward.  Before you say it’s different because money is placed it’s the same with the football.. that’s why many are on sky bet..

So much confusing opinions floating about. You go on the Wednesday forum and a lot of their fans think it was some of the best away support of the season. They also claim we're the quietest they've come across. People on here claim Wednesday were quiet and we actually were decent tonight.

Think it points to one thing - the terrible and inconsistent acoustics at the KP. If you're in the family stand all you can hear is the away fans very loud you can't hear anything else at all. When I sat near the singing section a few weeks a go it was very loud but you don't hear really much else, even if the away fans are having a good day.

The sound just doesn't seem to carry at all anywhere.

It's a problem that is easily solved with a few additions to the stadium roof but nothing will get done. The club may have moved on hugely in the last 20 years, but barely a penny has been spent on anything to improve the environment for supporters.

Agreed but the real bangers persist over time even if the player has left. Iwan Roberts only played a couple of seasons for us but his chant was commonplace for years until Vardy and Mavididi got ones to the same tune.

I may be biased towards him but I'd happily sing the Leo Ulloa chant until the cows come home.

One of my favourites that.

Yeah, it was decent compared to usual. Early goal helped and I think the noise increased towards the end when it was got a little unsettled.

Agree on the variety of chants for players being good.

You can’t compare any match based sport to a race, totally different situation irrespective of betting and I’d suggest if your horse has fallen or is miles of the lead then you aren’t literally jumping around anyway. The crowd still do get behind as much as possible in football when things are going badly but inevitably it won’t always be in the same numbers as when a team is winning or defending like dogs in a giant killing act. Players make mistakes and get nervy as they are human, fans can get nervy, agitated and panicky watching the same situation as they are also human. At a home match you aren’t always going to get the perfect atmosphere when the team are losing or under the cosh because like on the pitch the situation can get fraught. Leeds have a reputation of having a fantastic atmosphere at their old fashioned ground that lends itself better to creating a cauldron of noise but they can go quiet, and start getting on at their players. Bamford has had dogs abuse from the side of the pitch when things are going badly.

Well no I’m sure if your horse had fallen at the first you wouldn’t be cheering but you knew what I meant..

I think if your someone who believes that the players should spur the crowd on then we will have to agree to disagree..

I’m one who believes that if a team is struggling and they need that boost then it’s up to the crowd to give that..

We don't celebrate winning the league enough. I know that it's referenced in the Vichai song but nowhere else? Or the Cups. Considering that we are one of the famous 5 to win all major trophies this century it's a shame that we don't make more of it.

But it’s frowned upon by some when the pre video is clapped lol

I'm switching into the section, ive been just to the left of it but there's not enough noise around me. Section was very good last night. Looking forward to it and the club have been really helpful with it.

The Kop when we’re playing some of the best football of the season

IMG_3085.jpeg

As someone in the Kop, can't see myself on that picture though, I must say it was better last night than in recent games.

Also interesting the same people who slate our fans say Wednesday were good. They sang first 5 minutes and last 15 minutes, a couple songs in between but were largely quiet for those periods. Seen them better. Not slating though as their team is shocking yet their turn out was good again. One of the best supported teams in the division and, for me, both them (and United) are better brilliant considering it's a split City.

Saturday will hopefully be decent, Middlesbrough should bring the full allocation too.

It is strange how we don’t have one loud chant to belt out regarding our success in the last 10 yrs

I’ve not said that the crowd shouldn’t play a role in spurring the players on. They do and ideally they’d do it better but the reality is they are often experiencing the same anxiety that the players are experiencing on the pitch. The reality is that the atmosphere is better when a team is winning, that’s always been the case at Leicester and I’d wager at every club.

Was sat in SK1 yesterday and the atmosphere created by the signing section was great! Was a reql

mix around me of people standing and joining in and others just sitting down silent.

the club need to ensure they grow the area of the ground with all of the like minded fans and that will really create a good atmosphere.

can’t believe how many people left early though. Even at 90 mins. Why!? You’ve already missed the opportunity to miss the traffic so just stay till the end.

Could hear L1 so much more last night from the family stand compared to recent matches.

I understand with kids midweek some leave early but to leave at 80 minutes is bizarre.

i left bang on 90 and was back in Wigston within 25 minutes.
With no earache from my ex about how late it was 😂

It seemed to me that a load got up bang on 85 minutes and left - It's like remote controlled zombies.

I know it's been said but do they leave 5 / 10 minutes early in other aspects of their lives like at the cinema, going out for dinner, on the job etc

It's absolutely bizarre.
