There’s very few things to be positive about. Why are they being pressured to be positive? The situation is ****ing dire and we need real conversations about it, not burying our heads in the sand - there’s been too much of that from our esteemed leader and his cronies. Just say it as it is, if people don’t want to hear the truth then they can listen to something else 🤷🏻‍♀️

100% agree. I want to be positive, but you need something to be positive about. Braybrooke, Alves and JJ really only thing. Fr me it definitely feels like the Mick McArthy meme at the minute.

Positivity for about 5 games, regardless of anything, new season and all that.

 

Actual positives are some of the academy lads breaking through and showing the old pros how it’s done. Not mentioning of course how there should be at least a few more minutes at the end of some matches for some of the academy lads in the last few seasons…. Sorry I tried but it’s just so hard to only say positive things about this club, despite it being a new season and a new manager and quite a few different players starting matches…

Being positive/negative isn't really an option at our club right now, only the truth matters and that's what BSLB are Brilliant at. And the reality checks are needed, especially for us fans. 

The Charlie talk helped me see through a lot of bullshiz and mindless optimism.

The academy lads are literally the only positive thing currently. Everything else is just delusion.

As for positivity, I listened to a different LCFC podcast and they were praising people staying late and clapping the team off.

 

This type of nonsense sums up how passive and accepting of continued underperformance a large % of our fanbase are.

They commented on booing at 2-0 down but doubled down on the fans leaving early  and finished by saying “we stayed to support the team until the end. Whilst, they didn’t just stay they stayed and clapped them” 🤯

I stumbled across it a year or so ago when Ric and co didn’t put out a podcast.

 

Not just saying it but not as good as BSLB but a harmless listen in the main, but that comment was a bit OTT.

 

Football is all about opinions but losing at home to Burton in League One, should and will always create a negative reaction in my mind.

He's been atrocious for us in the 3 games so far this season. Whether that's because Okoli is exposing his weaknesses even more or him wanting out is also effected his performances, bottom line he's started the season appallingly.

 

I remain convinced he is far better than his showing though, he was colossal for Sheffield Utd 2 years ago and they'd likely have gone up automatically if he didn't get injured. I'd always been impressed with him for us but it's just not worked out for him here and therefore I hope he goes very soon.

BIL is a Stoke fan, his view is he's only decent in 3 CBs, assume Sheff Utd played that way?

Yeah think thats the common denominator. To be fair Brussell has used that system in the past so if he stays here and uses the Finn and Aluko alongside him it might work. Or even McFarlane LCB, Souttar and the Finn.

Lots of points I agree on but I draw the line at criticising people for being season ticket holders and attending games. Fair play to Jord for deciding he won’t go to games but attending them doesn’t make you any less of a fan or any less entitled to be disappointed/frustrated/angry about the owners and the direction of the club. Jord’s logic that the only way we get rid of the owner is by not attending games doesn’t add up. The best way for these owners to leave for all of us would be for them to sell the club, and if there’s no fanbase because of a mass prolonged boycott then this makes the club less sellable as an asset. The scenario of the owners leaving due to administration, in part brought about by a potential long term boycott is far worse for the club, for the club employees and the fans. 
 

That being said, keep up the good work, other than the youngsters coming through there is very little positivity at the moment and that’s rightly reflected in honest podcasts like BSLB!
