Lots of points I agree on but I draw the line at criticising people for being season ticket holders and attending games. Fair play to Jord for deciding he won’t go to games but attending them doesn’t make you any less of a fan or any less entitled to be disappointed/frustrated/angry about the owners and the direction of the club. Jord’s logic that the only way we get rid of the owner is by not attending games doesn’t add up. The best way for these owners to leave for all of us would be for them to sell the club, and if there’s no fanbase because of a mass prolonged boycott then this makes the club less sellable as an asset. The scenario of the owners leaving due to administration, in part brought about by a potential long term boycott is far worse for the club, for the club employees and the fans.

That being said, keep up the good work, other than the youngsters coming through there is very little positivity at the moment and that’s rightly reflected in honest podcasts like BSLB!

I respect everyone's decisions regarding whether they attend games or not.

Many of my friends and family still do and that is completely up to them, but in my opinion you are just putting money in King Power's pockets and perpetuating this cycle. I don't believe people should pay for the likes of Jon Rudkin to steal a living and decide what is best for this club, alongside the wages of some of the rest of board and most of the playing staff when they have shown no accountability.

Everyone has a breaking point and I'm no longer willing to be part of it. This isn't exclusive to Leicester City, it's more broadly an English thing in society. I'll moan about it but in reality, I won't actually do anything about it and i'll just continue to moan about it instead.

I don't agree that there would be 'no fanbase' or the club would be a less sellable asset to potential new owners, as they would clearly know the reasons behind the drop. You only have to look down the road at Coventry City's attendances. They averaged about 21k at the Ricoh before it dropped to around 10k under SISU and now they comfortably get 30k a week. It's no different.

If anything, it should encourage prospective new owners to galvanise the fan base and restore us to not only selling out, but having the demand to reach 40k which should have been easily achievable just five years ago. Anyone interested in buying this club will know we are a one club city, are capable of consistently selling over 30k and frequently sell out away games. We're quite easily one of the top 20 biggest clubs in England and bigger than them down the road. If they can do it, why can't we?

I'll be the first person back down there with my old man if and when we get new owners and if I am able to get a ticket, but that was the risk I was willing to take. We're far too passive as a fanbase and I don't think any other club in the country would put up with this, let alone what clubs abroad would have done by now.

If the owners are to leave due to administration, it will be worse for the employees of the club and the fans, but it will certainly be through no fault of people boycotting games.

It will always remain solely the fault of Top, Rudkin and the rest of the board who have wasted money like they are playing Monopoly. Nothing the fans do or have done will result in this club being in administration.

There’s no argument from me about the catastrophic almost criminal mismanagement of the club by Top and Rudkin. The last 6 years has been an utter, utter shambles from them.

That being said, it’s still reasonable to state that if there is a full boycott and there are next to no fans buying tickets, if there are fans cancelling season tickets, fans not buying merch, not buying refreshments, local businesses not buying hospitality, then the club is more likely to go into administration than it would be if that wasn’t happening.

I do agree with him to some extent. I don’t think boycotting will out prospective buyers off, they probably won’t even know it’s happening unless they’re locally based or really bothered about international football politics.

I’ve given my season ticket up after 29 years, because I simply can’t watch my club be effortlessly given away, and I refuse to invest into King power.

Every fan is entitled to behave as they wish and think as they wish. If those still want to go then fair play, those who don’t equally fair play. But I do share the opinion that large boycotts send powerful messages.

He's been atrocious for us in the 3 games so far this season. Whether that's because Okoli is exposing his weaknesses even more or him wanting out is also effected his performances, bottom line he's started the season appallingly.

I remain convinced he is far better than his showing though, he was colossal for Sheffield Utd 2 years ago and they'd likely have gone up automatically if he didn't get injured. I'd always been impressed with him for us but it's just not worked out for him here and therefore I hope he goes very soon.

He looked decent towards the end of last season, after he came back from injury but I think that was because everyone else made him look good! If he wants out we should just take whatever’s being offered and let him go, it’s helping no one hanging onto him. Hes a liability at this point.

The club may be more likely to go into administration, but you cannot ever lay the the blame of that at the feet of the supporters.

It will, and always will be, the sole fault of King Power, Top, Rudkin and the board who have driven this club to the brink of extinction from the most powerful position in our history and completely alienated the fan base along the way.

Souttar known for his anti immigration Twitter account (until he removed it all during the World Cup) paired up with Okoli, the son of Nigerian immigrants whom moved to Italy for a better life

I see you agree with me about the club being more likely to go into administration. I’ve not said any blame lies with the supporters btw. I’ve been quite clear where the blame lies. Top and Rudkin.

making the assumption that skipp had two 25% wage reductions for relegation from the reported 50k for a current wage of 28.2k a week -  a new adult season ticket in the kop at £520 pays 3 hours of his wages, or essentially one match with the warm up, half time and cool down included. £15 for a pie and a pint or whatever it is now (can't be far off that) pays for 5 minutes of his wages, or about half as long as it takes for you to get served said pie and pint... match day and ticket incomes are a drop it the water in modern football

Aren’t his family immigrants? Or are they just the ‘right kind of immigrants’?

born in Aberdeen to an Aussie mother, so yes his mum is an immigrant. But it's the same stuff as when people move to benidorm and call themselves "ex-pats", like no lad, you're an immigrant to Spain.

I get your point but if attending a match and matchday revenue was irrelevant then what’s the point of fans? They have an intrinsic value to the club in terms of the matchday revenue they bring in, additional non matchday revenue they bring in and the finances they generate by creating an atmosphere that can help the club progress up the divisions and earn bigger rewards.

A club with significant weekly attendance will be of higher value to buyers of clubs, particularly overseas clients, than a club whose fanbase has potentially deserted them (even if it might be only potentially temporary) as there is much more risk attached. A buyer would have to trust that those fans would come back for a start.

The fact remains that an empty stadium with boycotting fans is more likely to help push a club into administration than a fuller stadium with attending fans even if those fans are thoroughly pissed off like we all are.

all played 0 mins at the weekend, so whilst I support playing youth not every player we move on is the wrong decision, not saying they won’t have careers but just assuming they are good enough because the came through the academy is a bit hasty.

It’s like when a player is on the bench or injured, they cannot actively miss a chance, or give the ball away. Fans stop seeing their flaws and they are the better option.

I Like what daz had to say!

Just some thoughts:

As much as I enjoy the podcast (even when I disagree with what/how it’s being discussed I’m a far too positive/optimistic person), but I do take umbrage at at the inconsistencies in the certain things said:

• Are we crap and going down this season, or are we the best team in the league? If we’re crap and going down then a point away is okay. If we’re the best team then it’s not good enough.
You can can’t have both.

• The league table: never in the past did anyone care about the league table until at least 10 games in, but if being 21st and in relegation zone three games in is to be used to castigate the team (all fine if you want to) you can’t in the same breath say we’ve played the 3 worst teams in the league to get there. We’ve officially played the 7th, 11th and 16th teams in the league!

• ‘The supporters are more forgiving of home grown talent!’ I’m sure Thomas, Hamza, Chilwell etc agree with this! And I’m sure all the quality youth coming through definitely know his treatment from the stands of course won’t happen to them - as long as they are near perfect in every game!

Of course you can. You can have the opinion of thinking we're going down through gross under performance than them trying their best but ultimately not being good enough for this level.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not thrilled with Martin but of all things to slate him for, 24 shots on target and 7 on target aren’t them. Both numbers would be a phenomenal average for us this season!
