Best thing club can do it begin building for a championship season (obviously through sacking Rodgers).

There is zero point chasing after players and spending millions on mercenaries in January. Model we need to follow is Fulham, Norwich etc.

The danger is we become Stoke or Sunderland (they have a nice training ground too)

As much as it pains me to say it, I think for this reason Brendan’s replacement will be gravel throat.

If we get relegated I can’t see many of the current squad wanting to stick around, even fringe players like Vestergaard will be pushing for a move.

We will have to do a Forest and buy an entire new squad (maybe not 24 players but we will need a lot of signings).

This is why Rodgers needs sacking. Get a new manager bounce to at least take some pressure off the club. Big changes and improvements needed in summer.

                             Iversen

Wormleighton - Nelson - Faes - Thomas

                    Braybrooke - KDH

        Albrighton  -   Alves  -  Barnes

                               Daka

Would obviously need reinforcements and experience. But based on who would likely leave should we go down, we’ve still got a broad basis of a squad still with the Academy lads etc.

Édit: Forgot about some of the injured lads, can’t imagine Justin or Ricardo going anywhere on their long contracts.

Would Faes stay? I don't know what wages he's on, or whether he has a release clause, but I reckon some club or other would come knocking. Daka too I reckon. If not here then abroad.

Yeh you’re probably right tbf. Would be an incredible amount of player turnover either way

Unfortunately we look devoid of any quality on the pitch, really poor all over. The contract and wages situation off the pitch is just as much of a shambles with Rudkin keeping his head down.

Hopefully not, but it's a concern that should we be relegated then when teams go down they usually have enough "premier league quality" in their squad to bounce straight back (Norwich, Burney etc).

With all our key players off and a huge amount out of contract we will be left to rebuild with who we can attract, which would only be championship quality players, although maybe that's not a bad thing.

Daka?

Yeah, perhaps Coalville Town might come knocking, at a push.

We've allegedly gambled future premier league status on borrowing etc. The silence is deafening. I think its clear the problems are far greater than anyone imagined. Just on the things we know it's hugely depressing how the club have fallen. Key players leaving, ageing squad, new signings not working. It's a perfect storm that unfortunately may cause us more damage than just relegation.

Honestly I've come full circle on Daka, I thought he looked like he had loads of potential, to looking like he needed time, to looking like he is a completely flop, now considering just how badly pretty much every player has gone backwards under Brendan, i'm back to believing he might come good under any other manager. I think players like Soumare might also come good. How can a player move to another country and do well with this shitshow around them?
I mean sure i'm being blindly optimistic with no actual evidence here, but I genuinely think we improve under almost anyone who can build a game plan.

It's a very good point, and I hope you are right.

So many have regressed under Rodgers perhaps we havent seen the best of 'newer' players.

Daka, Soumare and certainly Praet may well be great under a new manager.

who know, perhaps Vestergaard might turn into prime Cannavaro..okay, maybe a slight push, but I do agree with you about Daka & Soumare.

If he came in now we’d stay up. 100%

Would we , he got relegated with Burnley more than once and played shocking football . And his constant mantra of Burnley’s  a small club we can only play one way as we can only afford that type  of player is nonsense . Look at other small club and look how they now play under Komoanu …No thanks

Right now blind delusion is much better than reality 😂
