Jesse marsch will get us relegated in 20th place. Didn't Jesse Marsch keep Leeds up last season? And I don't think they were in the bottom three when he got sacked. Underwhelming appointment - but if he comes in, I'm backing him 100%.
Popular Post ClaphamFox Posted 8 April 2023 Popular Post Posted 8 April 2023 (edited) So in summary: Plan A was to give it to Stowell and Sadler until the end of the season and recruit a permanent manager then. That’s not working out. Plan B was to appoint a high quality interim manager but none of our targets for that role would take it Plan C was to appoint a high quality permanent manager, but none of our preferred candidates would commit to that role while out Premier League status was in doubt So we’re onto Plan D: appoint somebody for the permanent role who we don’t really want but has agreed to stick with us if we get relegated Is that about right? Stinkenzo Posted 8 April 2023 Posted 8 April 2023 I dont want the guy who didn't go forwards nor backwards in the PL with Leeds, I want the guy who's been in the bottom half of the championship for the last few years 😥😥😥

Larry_LCFC Posted 8 April 2023 Posted 8 April 2023 I'd take Pearson as interim to try and save us now and then permanent. He IS NOT any worse than BR or the death Marsch. 2

Pearson unfortunately won’t take it if it is only based on staying up, he would however if he sees a project here and sort out the mess like he did before. Popular Post USMNT Matt Posted 8 April 2023 Popular Post Posted 8 April 2023 I've asked a few contacts of mine for a bit more information to try and ease your concerns. Only had the GK coach that worked with him during one of his early spells at a club get back to me so far. Apparently he was great with the players, "almost annoyingly positive" as he puts it but that positivity garnered success at an unprecedented level for the club and he worked the players harder than ever. He's the guy that claims Marsch turned down one of the big London clubs a few years back and he's no liar. Fwiw it's around the time one of their managers was getting pushed for the sack. Apparently he got screwed over with multiple assistants at Leeds, at least one of whom was rumoured to be a telltale to those upstairs at the club. Marsch told him he really regrets his failure at Leipzig and in fact had offered to resign, even offering to give up a month's wage as he felt he hadn't done a good enough job there. He added that he's also learnt a lot from perceived failure in his last two jobs and has spent the past few months travelling around seeing a different side of life, particularly enjoying the Izmir and Yurets regions of Europe. He doesn't have the lottery numbers for next week unfortunately. 3 2

Tuna Posted 8 April 2023 Posted 8 April 2023 I don't see why we think he is the answer - industrial scale delusion at the football club and it just keeps getting worse!

Do you have any thoughts about who would be Jesse's assistant manager and if he would be bringing in coaches, seeing as some are still at Leeds?
21st Century Fox Posted 8 April 2023 Posted 8 April 2023 Can we at least have a no denim on the touchline clause written into his contract! 1

You average football fan are the exact same people who said Leicester are scum for sacking Ranieri, said Rodgers was never backed and bought into Brendan’s spin, the same ones that think he’s an elite manager. Your average football fan knows sweet sod all about football, it matters not one bit what anyone else thinks about us. 9

Think that ship has sailed too! You have to remember, he was one member of a successful team of 3. As much as I like him and really grateful for what 'they' did, he's hardly been a success on his own has he.
