Larry_LCFC Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 (edited) Obviously we have to support them but I see this going no other way than tits up. Please prove me wrong! Edited 10 April 2023 by Larry_LCFC 1
Legend_in_blue Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 I've posted in the run in thread that I believe we're done. I stand by that however should they turn this around, I'd give Smith the job on a long term basis. It would be rude not to imo. Fair play to the bloke for giving it a go. Many will think he's on a hiding to nothing as things stand. He has my full support and I hope it works out for him, for us and for the club. 2
Guest nathan. Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 (edited) I’m 100% behind Smith and the new management team. I’m not expecting anything from the City game but I want to see some fight and togetherness. Edited 10 April 2023 by nathan.
Fazzer 7 Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 There's never a dull moment at this football club. Come on Deano lad sort these lot out and keep us up.

Please prove me wrong! Why ? We'd be getting a Manager who won the Championship. A Coach who won the Premiership. And an England Captain who has won plenty. A lot of positives there to give us a better chance than Rogers was giving us Edited 10 April 2023 by Clever Fox Spelling
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 With the new team, we are going to have a fluke a win and hopefully that leads to a run. That’s the last remaining bit of hope left

cruzFOX Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 If the players don’t respond to these guys they should all be lined up for a public arse caning. It will prove they deserve zero compensation for showing a lack of sufficient commitment and thus a severe derelict of duty. They’ve been given every chance to turn this ship around!
Jattdogg Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 (edited) It is not official yet until on twitter or lcfc.com but looks likely tomorrow from what we all see Edited 10 April 2023 by Jattdogg
BigGibbo Posted 10 April 2023 Posted 10 April 2023 This is as good as can be expected in the absolute state we're now in. Glad to see Shakespeare back. Shoehorn Steve Walsh back in the mix and we can be sure they at least understand the assignment. On a short term deal so at least we can let them all go, along with the board, if they fail. 3

According to the Villa forum, JT and Frank don't like each other? 2 months should see Franks legacy dissolve, leave.... and JT return as resident shag monkey.

Not sure that it fits with our lovely family friendly, easily offended audiance. I'd buy merchandise with that on it. 2 hours ago, Rossiter said: Wouldn't work nowadays...too many aggressive dogs around. Also, there is nothing 'dogs of war' about us

Leicester City Football Club is not an appealing place to work right now. Accept that please. We’re 2nd from bottom with a very very high chance of relegation. We have tons of players out of contract over the next two summers. We’ve been frankly horrendous for the vast majority of this season. Graham Potter was never going to come here. Not because he wants a summer holiday. But because he doesn’t want a relegation on his CV. He may join next year. Potentially. Dean Smith wants the job because he believes in his ability to keep us up. You may not. But we have to get behind this and support it 110%. No one better wants to come to us. Do I think Dean Smith could keep us up? I’m not 100% sure but I’m going to back him because the players will need that. We have a new manager. Stop being negative. Get behind the club. Get behind the new guys. Get behind the team! For a post which the first line read "this forum is so negative"; nearly everything you wrote was negative. Your second line had four consecutive negative things in a row. The only vaguely positive thing you said was "I'm not 100% sure Dean Smith can keep us up but I'll back him". Smith came to us, out of the blue, without warning or even the slightest sign of speculation. He was beamed in, Star Trek style, not in anyones thoughts to managers odffice in a nanosecond. After we and the media had been told/announced Lampard had the job, Smith came here on the rebound from Villa. You know the feeling. You break up with someone, you're beyond devastated, life is pointless etc....so you quickly fix yourself up to someone else, anyone really, hopin it would ease the pain. It never does. Smith didn't get us. Norwich are a club you have to 'get' to make it work. Out of the way, overachieving, stuck in the middle of Norfolk, fan, city and county engagement is crucial. Farke got that 100%, threw himself into it. Smith wasn't the slightest bit interested. His press conferences were turgid, the football one dimensional and dull dull dull. No spark, no pace, no creativity. Get it up to the big man, get crosses into the box. Incase you hadnt noticed, Teemu Pukki isn't going to be able to do anything with that, 'big man' he ain't. Smith will have Vardy, if fit, in your starting XI, play 4-2-3-1, watch those long balls pumped forward. 1 hour ago, Pliskin said: Thanks for your input, but your chair woman got pissed and started ranting on the pitch at half time. Plus, you are bobbins so…….. As much as you say that @Pliskin, this Norwich lad dead right in what he is saying (apart from that nonsense about only being able to be a good Norwich manager if you 'get the club').

Contract length is basically just a guarantee of cash to a football manager. Anyone coming in will demand at least the next 8 games plus next season, with the full knowledge that they might get sacked next season but they will still be paid for all of it.
