Positively speaking

We have a 7 match 'conference' league in which we need to finish top of the group vs forest, everton and southampton

We have two of the top 5 english attacking midfielders in the country

We have 5 or 6 defenders who turn out for top 10 international sides.

Almost everyone is fit, meaning the new gaffer can make bold decisions if needed.

We have 4 home games and 4 against bottom 6 sides.

Liverpool/Fulham will likely know tbeir league fate by the time we play.

If we need 3 points at home v west ham last game of the season youd hope we can do it. Particularly if they are up.

I just want Cags to know he’s the type of player I absolutely love in terms of absurd aggression - when he kept punching our goal scorers in 19-20 turned me on. Keep us up you Turkish delight.

Yeah, you are right. Tell them they are all terrible and then be annoyed when they are terrible.

Until they wake up and collect the £10k-120k for the week.

They need to show they give a ****

Nathan, I get our opinions may differ but the post simply said that if you want to slate the players then there is enough threads to do that on. Let’s just leave this one for some encouragement. Please mate.

I have faith that they will do enough to survive.

Let's face it, they know more than anyone they've been crap. That doesn't need sugar coating.

Man City took their foot off the gas today but I've seen enough in that 2nd half performance that we can pick up enough points to survive. Even slight tactical tweaks in game to get our full backs space with the ball and drive forward make a difference. I hope they can take confidence that we could have realistically got a draw based on that 2nd half.

I also don't get why OP gets criticised here. It's a fair thread, not sure what the issue is.

Its nothing personal mate.

We are both fans of the club.

Let's face it, none of us want to be in this position. The one thing we can do to help is play our part, remain positive and get behind the team, it just might help pick up struggling players. Our supporters sounded great today.

I didn’t take it personally mate and I respect and appreciate your comments. I just wanted to try and make one really encouraging thread. That was all.

Whilst I think the appointment of the managerial trio gives us a fighting chance, I still don’t think we’re much good.

Todays first half, albeit to one of the best club sides in the world currently, was a joke. It was like the Alamo.

It’s looking like it’ll be Southampton bottom, followed by two of us, Everton (also a very poor side), West Ham, Leeds.

Bournemouth could have done enough! Fook knows where that run has come from!

I give us 50:50 to get out of it, primarily because quite a few games are 6 pointers. Lose them and we’re in trouble, but win them and we’ll be ok.

Its gonna be close

I hope this is positive enough for the OP.

Hey players, welcome back to the forum.

You are all filthy rich (not you, Luke), you are at the peaks of your physical prowess (not you, Jamie V) and you probably can't walk into whatever Zoots/Crystals/The Penny Farthing might be called nowadays without some top quality ladyhuman throwing herself fadj-first in your general direction (not you, Vesty).

Enjoy yourselves, don't worry about a thing, Springtime is here, and please, please, listen to that world class coach we have.  And also to Dean Smith and John Terry.

We love you (Not you Ryan Bertrand)

:scarf:

I mean even Thomas is filthy rich by the average joes standard

If you look at the wealth of the exceedingly average players at the club I’m sure most would be shocked.

Amartey, Mendy, Soumare..they’ll all be millionaires no worries.

It’s one of the biggest reasons I’m switched off mainly from modern football. Wages paid to Premiership players who should be Championship players are obscene.

But whilst the bulk of the country is facing a cost of living crisis, daft kids are making ‘cult heroes’ out of players like Amartey.

Damn Col, this is very true and the COL crisis is massive for people but can we just try and keep this thread about encouragement to the players to achieve what we want them to achieve?

BTW, I absolutely agree with you on this.

JT hasn't shagged anyone's wife (that we know of). That's a positive right?

That's not a bet I'd be willing to take. He just got here, at the very least it's a work in process I reckon.

Dennis Praet 🥰💖

Seriously - Brendan has gone, shackles off. You are a good team, fight for everything and we will back you.  Fresh start under this management team.

Foxes never quit!

Agreed but that applies to all football clubs not just us.

The positives for me is that despite the two horrendous runs of form we've had this season, we're still in touching distance of safety and after our second half performance today, you'd think we've got a fighting chance of getting there.
