I don't think we particularly lacked effort tonight. But we have been mentally shot since before Brendan left and cannot handle the pressure. Booing them doesn't help that and just exacerbates an already toxic problem.

 

One big difference between us and those around us is they expected to be in a fight. We can't believe we are.

I'm trying to square the limited players Pearson had at his disposal in 2014/15 with the current squad who are all kinds of 'better' in so many ways except for character and work ethic. Two metrics that can't be measured but which are SO important. This lot seem gutless by comparison.

My mate watched the game with me. He use to be a Liverpool fan, but fell out of love with football a few years ago…I’m getting it! I understand it’s Bread and Circuses!!! But, I have always known that. He says it’s corrupt! But, you have to have an escape, and so I got over what he says…and probably he is right?🤷‍♀️But my God, if those players, managers, board, are happy with picking up their wages, then something is badly wrong. Apart from being sh*t, then the VAR decisions tonight did our cause no good at all. I’m beginning to question the time out of my life I’m wasting on this. I’ve supported LCFC for 52 years, and I can’t believe the ineptitude at all levels of this team and management/board. We had a massive opportunity to raise their status…Will we ever get another opportunity to raise our club? I very much doubt it. We’ve missed a trick…massively! 😔😔

First 15 minutes was better. We were even holding our defensive shape quite well after they started to take over. But you just can't concede goals like that first one. It's Sunday league stuff. And you can't react to losing goals like we do. 

 

I think it's got the stage where it's pointless commenting on individual players any more. Obviously there were some awful performances tonight, but we're a poor side and fully deserve to go down.

 

And I know people are angry, but those 'fans' saying they're giving up on the club might wanna reflect on the fact that they're a part of the problem, and if they can't handle a relegation to the championship then they might be better off finding another club.

The problem is nothing has changed, the team have been hypnotised/brainwashed by Rodger’s and remarkably the temp management have been too, it’s just regurgitated Rodger’s ball.
