If we can work with Mads to make him more confident in claiming the ball when crosses come in rather than attempting to punch everything, then I genuinely think he’s a top 3 goalkeeper in this league.

With regards to eventually replacing Mads when that day comes, it’ll be interesting what happens with Liverpool’s goalkeeper situation they currently having 3 No.1’s in Alisson, Kelleher and Mamardashvili…. I would be looking at the latter of the two to replace Mads as I can’t see him staying after this season, let’s just hope we have him for the full season.

I would imagine Ramsdale has a relegation clause too so if Southampton go down and we stay up there’s another potential option.

Liverpool signed Mama as an understudy and subsequently, a replacement to Allison. I guess they didn't envision Kelleher being great this season so he'd be the one to leave if anyone.

A bit off topic but saw so many fans saying he's been the keeper of the season which I find absolutely laughable. Any keeper would look good with VVD and Konate in front of them. Mads is 100% the best keeper this season, got a pair of planks in front of him and still looks amazing every game!

I said when he came to us he might be the first 100 million pound keeper during his career. That was probably a bit OTT but he has a real chance (due to his age and ability to use his feet which is quite rare in the older generation of keepers) to potentially command a few massive transfer fees in his career.

We quoted £40m whilst he had never played a game in the premier league, he’s now proving that he is one of the best goalkeepers in the premier league.

The current transfer record for a goalkeeper is £71m for Kepa to Chelsea, whilst I don’t think that’ll be happening he’s easily a £50/£60m player which would make him the second highest transfer fee for a goalkeeper.

I think Enzo will come calling for him in the summer.

Very similar to kasper in nearly all ways - great shot stopper and can play - however like a lot of modern keepers he cannot catch a cold - less and less of an issue nowadays I suppose as teams at this level don’t really put it in the mixer apart from set plays apart from the odd team that are very good at them - showed pretty much all of that last night - great saves but never going to command his six yard box - got lucky for the one he punched in his net - I’m guessing he is 6ft max so always going to be hard - however I agree with most - probably our most consistent best player - great signing considering the absolute abomination of the last prem season - we definitely have out next 60m quid player to sell at end of season

To be fair I think your being slightly harsh on Kelleher he’s kept them in multiple games this season and his shot stopping is absolutely class.

Agree completely, however, I think Mads passing range is much better than Kasper’s.

Yep probably is a bit better tbf - plays that very similar ball out to the right wing but seems to not go straight out of play as many times as with kasper which infuriated me 😂- we just need to actually win a header now when mads does it  - I think kasey was zero for 15 last night 😂

See I dont mind the punching as long as he's confident with it.

Last thing you want is a keeper who's half-arsing punches or claims because they get muddled up in their own heads.

Hermansen is THE best keeper in the PL today...as plain as daylight for the big time clubs to start making inroads to his agent.

We already have a replacement in Stolarcyk who I think is going to be a top keeper too.

Love Mads but I would be open to him leaving for an obscene fee as we have another prodigy in waiting.

Where does he rank amongst current premier league goalkeepers?  Am I crazy thinking third behind Allison and Martinez?

I’d say so. For me he is first

There's already interest in him, from a rather expected club..

You mean our "parent" club located in the west of London who have looked upon us with envy by pinching our better players and a manager for large amounts of cash over the years?

Yes.

They wanted him just before he joined LCFC.

The thing is, his next move will probably be his big one. Nobody is paying us £100m for a goalkeeper, even if we have had clubs pants down with some transfers previously.

It’d have to be Bellingham to Dortmund then Madrid type scenario.

He’s definitely got the potential to be world class. I just can’t see him ever moving for more than what we sell him for, nor his market value touching £100m due to GK contracts ‘generally’ being lower than other positions.

I reckon he's definitely behind Allison, Edersen, and Martinez. There's then a group of Onana, Vicario, Raya, which he is in but probably behind Onana and Raya at current levels.

All of those keepers are much more experienced than him though, which is I think the most impressive thing. If he can command his box better he's a complete keeper and will go right to the top.
