Is he the only one though?

We should be looking at why he (and others) don't want to play for Leicester.

I don't quite understand what he's so upset about, unless I've missed something. He made the squad / club look daft when he held up that sign for Enzo and he had a pretty public falling out with Ruud, yet I've not heard Leicester fans turn on him or anything along those lines, if anything, he's got away with a lot!

Yet he's moping around like we've been trying to hound him out the club, really don't understand it, particularly how popular he was in the promotion season, unless he's fallen out with Marti Cifuentes as well.

Also factoring in that he is almost certainly on the biggest contract of his career so far and will not get anything like this salary again. He hasn't shown to the sort of clubs he believes he should play for that he is worth signing.

It's weird that Leicester are effectively the pinnacle of his financial earnings yet he treats the club with such disdain. He could easily get another 2-3 years at £90k pw out of the idiots in charge as vesty has done, but just can't see it.

He is probably dim as well as having delusions of grandeur.

All our "best players" are leaving? why stick around? we will be hit with a points deduction which would make it difficult to be in the playoff picture. Players are ambitious they don't want to stick around in the championship if the club is lacking ambition which is the case with us atm.

Don't disagree with you but it comes with the territory, our disdain should be at the ownership for allowing this culture of entitlement to foster and also complete negligence.

Absolutely it doesn't help

I thought the problem atm is with the fans who criticised him over last season ??  Not aware he has a problem with marti.  He may have an issue with the club if they’ve blocked a move …..

I don't know what his problem is this time. Is he angry with the fans for giving him some stick? The club for failing to support him in the argument with Ruud? Or even the club for reprimanding those players who were pictured on the night of Cooper's sacking? We could speculate all day long.

But, to reiterate, his attitude is evidently a problem right now, unless we take the view that all this sullen behaviour is totally normal and not at all emblematic of the wider negative mood around the club. Maybe it is indeed important not to jump the gun - if we hear that he's had personal issues which explain this apparent negativity, then that would change everything. But equally it would be an almighty surprise and very hard to believe if we were to hear that the manager is untroubled by his demeanour right now. The overwhelmingly obvious conclusion to draw is that he's unhappy at the club and is letting everyone know.

So that constitutes a Harry Winks-shaped problem for the manager. And in that regard, Cifuentes is the third consecutive manager - almost certainly - to have had one. That stands even if the two of them get on wonderfully, because lots of managers have friendly relationships with players whose behaviour nonetheless causes them serious issues.

To watch and follow City at the moment, three things strike you most: the inactivity of the board, the growing hostility of the fans, and the poor attitude/application of the players. Winks is the most visible example of the latter, and it's very hard to defend someone for whom you could say exactly the same under the last manager, and the one before him. Still being better than Skipp or Soumare doesn't change that, nor do the exact rights and wrongs of Winks' displeasure with the club now, six months ago, or a few months before that. Personally, I don't think that the positive contribution on the pitch of these unhappy players is a counterbalance to the negative impact.

If you applied that logic you'd be getting rid of the majority of the first team squad.

Manager needs to do a job here to get him back on side and firing on all cylinders.

The likes of Ndidi? Hermansen? come on man!, it's our ownership that have got us into this mess, with their hiring of Cooper / RVN.. to replace Maresca, and previously for allowing Brendan to stay longer than he should have.

...agree it's not just the players but they've played a significant part and to let them off the hook is ridiculous, especially given the way some of them are behaving.

I will concede it's not all the players too, however the bad apples can have a big influence. If 2-3 players in the team don't put it in the rest all suffer. It's the same formula from Sunday league all the way up....

He’s an arrogant arsewipe that thinks he’s better than he is. Still w@nking over memories of Enzo, who probably doesn’t miss him at all.

The best thing is for Marti to do his job, placate Harry and get him playing. If an offer comes in then take it and replace him but assuming it doesn't we need him playing and putting in a shift for the rest of the season or January at least.

Can’t see that happening with his attitude

He's obviously unhappy, either with fans, board, staff, or a mixture of it all.

He's our best midfielder so I want him to stay and perform. However there's no need to publicly sulk like he does.

When you're paid 90k a week 99.9% of us could only dream of, at least be professional and civil for the odd 90 mins, not fair on the majority of fans who don't boo or slate you on media

I'd agree with this if it was September but with a year left on his deal it suits us to move him on. Fed up of players going for nothing.

I would sooner play somebody that actually cares

Sick of these players being unprofessional

Saturdays game will tell us a lot with body language after what’s gone on since the Preston game

A good analogy if we could replace him with something better for the kind of butters fee we would get for him, a few million max - and Rudkin would have to be capable of getting said replacement

We are back in 22/23 territory with Winks. I think (i could be wrong) he's a player who doesnt want to be here anymore, but instead of offering him out for a cut price this club's management will go to their graves asking for the exact money they want (which usually is over-inlfated, hence we we rarely sell anyone other than 'key' players).

And you know what, if Winks doesn't want to be that's FINE, but we're the dumb s**ts who insists he stays around for another season.

How many players are out of contract this summer? Similar number to 22/23 i assume and in the same position (Ambivilent to playing for Leicester City)???

In 3 years with 2 relegation, the club has quite literally not learnt one lesson from their mistakes. It's sad, but nothing will change until either Top wakes up or he sells

Him and his agent will be doing all they can to make clubs believe the fall out with Ruud meant he had little to do with our relegation.

He won't be doing himself any favours sulking around like he is. Not a chance he finds a club willing to pay him anything like what we are.
