Not for the transfer fee and wages we have shelled out for him. 
 

I’ve seen players as bad but they were usually free or academy or low fee’s. 

£15m + wages for this *****.

 

He would get in my worst City 11 with ease.

There’s a post on page 2 of the Bobby Reid thread where someone said “if we didn’t give him 3 years he would have gone somewhere else” 

 

I can almost guarantee there was not a single Premier league club that was considering or interested in signing Bobby Decordova-Reid on a 3 year contract.

Coatsworth wasn't a very gifted player but at least he tried and put a shift in. probably on about a sixteenth of the wage too.

To start with, Benkovic, Faes, Benelouane, Dragovic, St Ledger ….. all worse than Faes.

In that case why don't we just walk away?,that's the thing with Rudkin he let's players dominate him during negotiations,hence why we have so many on long contracts and high wages!!!

I’d imagine adjusted for inflation, Amartey and Benkovic are just as bad. Bear in mind, we paid the same for Benkovic and he was that bad he never played. 
 

Vestergaard needs to play with a quicker defender and a deeper defence. He’s not pressing high. The tactics for the players we have are all wrong. 
 

He was decent last season. 
 

Ideally we’d upgrade, however we are literally playing into his weaknesses.

 

Albeit, he and Faes were rancid today. So weee the entire team. 
 

That first goal knocked the stuffing out of them, they looked shell shocked.

Amartey was pretty pants but he did an ok job in plenty of positions for several years. Absolutely lightyears ahead of Vestergaard (who I would say is so much better than when we were last in the prem, where I would have had him as just about the worst player I've seen for us)

He didn’t have to do much actual defending last season due to the style of play. Was rarely 1 v 1 with opposition player. He’s far too slow and lumbering for the PL. Should never have been signed in the 1st place. As mentioned before, for his height he is rubbish in the air. Who ever thinks he might win the ball at a corner, either end.

But he's not, he's average in the air, has no pace, poor positional sense and poor in the tackle.

 

He's only PL standard attribute is his passing.
