But the proceeding years weren't so bad after Cambiasso left. He helped set the scene for what was to follow. And if Cesare is only here for one season, if it culminates in promotion then I will be a very happy fox.

With the depth of talent available to Chelsea, and there spending habits, I'd imagine there is a strong chance we could get him back on loan for a year if we got promoted. It would be a logical next step in his development.

Even if he does well with us this season I don’t think he will go into Chelsea’s squad without a season in the Prem (and they will also have signed another £200m+ worth of centre mids by next summer)

 

As long as we go up I think we will be in a great position to get him on loan again

Chelsea will have the best part of £300mill worth of players in their mid this season. I don't give a shit if he scores a goal a game for us for the whole season, there's no way he breaks into Chelseas team next season. So we can definitely try another loan or possibly a buy.

I miss the 2nd season of Kante! Not ideal but if he does well enough to be remembered in that category it's better than not having him at all.

Feels similar to Tielemans. The crowd signing "sign him up" and a positive relationship with the manager meant we pulled off that deal when it looked like either Man United or Spurs would sign him. 

 

Casadei likely has the highest ceiling of any player in our squad, already signed by Inter and Chelsea, and the top scorer at the U20 World Cup. We probably identify him as a player we would love to sign permanently in the future, hence the special treatment.

He's aerial ability is going to helps us defend our box too.

 

It's also give us a option to go direct which we have to, as we have shown we are willing to mix it up a little agasint Cov and Huddersfield.
