I think I just counted that Brentford's Schaade scored with his eleventh consecutive touch v Palace.

 

I believe Mahrez scored for us  with his fourteenth consecutive touch v Hull.  

 

Does anyone have any stats for the record on this, please?

What are consecutive touches, though - I'm a little confused.

 

Are these the touches used to keep the ball under control when dribbling? Because I'm fairly certain that Mahrez would have had loads.

First game that came to mind (Sofiane Boufal vs West Brom), I counted 15 touches. I can't imagine that would be the highest amount though.

I thought it might be Hazard vs Arsenal or Son vs Burnley but they're both 12 (as far as i can tell). Payet vs Boro is 11.

Bit before the days of stats but I imagine that Joachim screamer against Millwall (if I recall correctly - think Keller was in goal for them) at home (early 90s) where he picked up the ball on the edge of our box before running the length of the pitch and smashing it in the top corner must required a lot of touches.

Didn't he basically knock the ball forward and outsprint the oppo players? Don't recall it being that many touches, just blistering pace.
