I do very distinctly remember Forest chanting to us ‘you’re just a small town in Baghdad’ on several occasions under Billy Davies.

Our cities are incredibly similar both in terms of population and demographics yet they seem to look down their noses at us.

Such a weird complex and mindset from a very weird and backward bunch.

Theyve won nothing in modern football while we’ve picked up 7 trophies in that period.

Yes they totally live off past glory and are incredibly quick to congratulate themselves.

They talk utter twonk but seem to believe it.

To be totally fair they got their last manager appointment right and look a very good side now - Irks but unfortunately it's true.

I suspect some of this is based on the two cities' populations and their respective views of themselves.

People from Leicester will be quite downbeat about the city and say what a shithole it is. We're a pretty self-deprecating bunch and don't take ourselves too seriously.

People from Nottingham seem to think their city is a stunning tourist hot-spot and have a real arrogance about themselves, at least in my experience.

It really isn’t though, it’s exactly the same as Leicester it’s just the water flowing through it is twice as wide.

They have a decent cricket team, we have the biggest rugby club in the country.

LeicesterSHIRE is much nicer than nottinghamSHIRE.

In terms of the cities themselves I don’t really like spending time in either.

You know that.

I know that.

Folk from Nottingham seem to think their city is St. Tropez for some reason. Banging on about Robin Hood, the old pubs and buildings, the nightlife etc. Tell them it's just another anonymous urban Midlands sprawl that's just as cack as any other and they can't process it.

The weirdos on the Liverpool FC subreddit making out like Leicester is the Conservative Party HQ every time we play them does my head in. It'd probably be less annoying if I saw how many of the people commenting were actually from the UK and could label both cities on a map.

The morons in Leicester East didn't exactly help dispel the myth. The only Tory gain in the entire country while they were collapsing everywhere else.

I think that could be true.

Leicestershire is prettier than Nottinghamshire but Nottingham city centre has more to offer than Leicester - Not scientific by any means but is something I've thought for years

The demographics aren’t similar at all between the two cities!

He's just a symptom in the lowering of standards - stealing a living is an injustice to a thief - A cvnt  of the highest order

Not only is he being a snooty *****, he's also wrong: "never happens" aside from Fulham a couple of seasons ago who came up and finished 10th, staying up with the teams promoted with them.

Are you sure you wouldn't feel more at home on a Forest forum Bilo?

Feels like 90% of your posts mention Forest these days :D lol

No.

I can spell and feel no desire to fondle the family pet.

City of Leicester is bigger than the City of Nottingham if your going of only council areas if you want to really be picky…

I dislike Forest like most on here but Nottingham is much better than Leicester as a city.

I see Chris Sutton is on the wind up again. On his prediction for tomorrow he states:

It seems like they (Leicester fans) felt they would be comfortable after getting promotion but that is never the case - whoever you are, you have got to graft and you have got to earn your place in the Premier League.

Maybe their supporters are starting to realise that now?

I don't know a single fan that didn't know that this season would be a struggle.

He grew up being a Forest fan so it's no surprise he hasn't ever had anything positive to say about us.

Yeah fair enough Leicester itself has more Asians for example but Nottingham still has sizeable ‘non British white’ contingents.

Have a look through the 328 pages of the Cooper OUT thread, if you're struggling to sleep one night.   You'll find plenty in there.

I don’t recall anyone ever saying that we had a comfortable mid table squad.

I remember some saying, including myself that our squad was better than Southampton, Everton, Wolves, Ipswich and not too dissimilar to Palace etc.

Don remember anyone saying this squad and coaching staff should be achieving 9th-12th.

I said 14th-16th before the season started, and I stand by that if we sign well in January.

My suspicion was that we'd battle against relegation all season and then find results towards the end to finish above the drop zone by a handful of points.

It isn't indeed. I ruled out comfortable midtable as soon as Steve Cooper was appointed and when we had a cack transfer window due to the impeding points deduction, that we only found out we'd swerved after the window closed.

Had we known that Nick De Marco was a genius earlier and kept Maresca, I do believe we'd have had a far better transfer window and we certainly would have had an identity. That scenario to me could have been a recipe for emulating what Fulham did two years ago and finishing in or around the top half.

Im surprised this thread isn't bulging at the seams with all the rubbish the Tottenham fans are saying.

Because they're an irrelevant club :P
