Mad how we just assume all of our rivals will win every single game they play.

If general Foxestalk predictions came true we'd be in the national league in administration and Rudkin would be Prime Minister.

Would love him to make a 'Vestergaard' style revival. Can you imagine the confidence and momentum he could get, playing at this level, against these kind of defences, bagging regular, with the city faithful really getting behind him!

He's such a likeable guy. Would love to see him re-born in our shirt. One can only dream.

...I just hope he is not sitting there waiting for Maresca to give him the call to bring him back in!!!

He does not fit the way we play and the only way he is going to change anyone's mind is to look at what Maresca is asking for and adapt his game to accommodate what is required. He has been riding the bench for ages, he has to have a different view of the game and take this as a learning moment where he grows up and takes responsibility for his situation.

You surely cannot just train, not be played on Saturdays and repeat that process every week, what exactly are you learning in that scenario? If the idea is not to go on loan in the January window, then 4 more months of riding the bench is not going to achieve anything. Set up a private coach, explain what you want to achieve and put in the hours that way. Players need to take control of their careers as they put too much faith in managers and their coaching staff.

Daka is a spare cog sitting in a draw, there is no point using it as the existing cog that we are using just about works and he will not make any difference if what we need is bigger and connects and works with more than one other cog at a time.

He's got to start playing £10m signing Coady at some point you'd have thought right?

...Vestergaard has kept him out and totally on merit!!!

I am not too sure how effective Coady would be when he is brought into the team, his involvement in the Fatawu and Dozzel spat, did not show him as the leader that I was expecting, but someone who was ineffective and adding to the problem, not someone sorting out the situation. His actions or lack of them, surprised me, getting the Leicester players from the melee and having Fatawu with a one-on-one with the referee would have been the expectation due to his reputation as a leader.

Wait what went wrong there? Fatawu played the QPR player perfectly and got him sent off. And what did Coady fail to do?

...it was the situation when Dozzell dragged him over and he (Fatawu) got up and shoved him in his chest, Dozzell then pushed him back, but Coady failed to take any real authority in that situation with the Leicester players!!!

It struck me with the reputation that he came with as a leader, he showed little or no aptitude to control the situation.

Sure but what was Coady supposed to do? He probably had no chance of preventing Fatawu from provoking Dozzell (and I'm glad he didn't because Fatawu's antics got Dozzell sent off...). And then afterwards what was Coady actually meant to do/what did he fail to do?

...take charge of the situation!!!

Just judging by that, I wonder just how effective he would be when given ample game time.

But you keep using phrases like "sorting out the situation" "take any real authority" "take charge of the situation"

But what would that actually involve or look like, in practice, in this example? I'm not sure what you're looking for or what Coady did/didn't do?

Enzo Maresca Pre-Match Press Conference

Injuries?

“They are all working with us. Only Callum is out. The rest are all available for tomorrow. Including Dennis.”

Braybrooke and Alves?

“I didn’t see Sammy yet. He’s still recovering. Will works with us, not always, some days when we need him. He looks good. He’s a young player and needs to enjoy football.”

Alves?

“You can see he’s a good player for sure. He has something different. With young players, you need to be careful.”

Replacing Winks?

“Nobody can give us the same thing as Harry Winks. They are all different. It’s difficult to find players who can give us the same. It doesn’t matter. We have other players who can play in his position.”

Change the way you play not having Winks?

“We are not going to modify the way we want to build or play. The player in Harry’s position, he may be can give us something more in one way, but something less in another way.”

Who to play in Winks' role?

“Hamza will play in Harry’s position. He’s the right player.”

International break?

“We tried to analyse all our games. We tried to find some more solutions in behind. Always respecting the idea we want to play. After the process, we try to exploit the space in behind. It doesn’t mean we’re going to play long balls.”

Watford?

“They press very well. They allow the opposition to create less chances. They have good players. It will be a difficult game.”

Losses?

“It’s not good to lose two games. Three would be even worse. Tomorrow we will try to win.”

Vestergaard?

“Happy for him because any player who doesn’t get minutes is not happy. We are happy for Jannik because he is giving us what we want. Also we have more solutions, because there are many games, so we’ll see also for the future.”
