There's definitely a boxing day curse for me these days. Ever since i moved to the united states, its usually straight back to work for me. They don't celebrate Boxing day over here.  Everything, including banks are back open on the 26th!

That was the day I began to despise Dion Dublin. He was all smiles and shaking hands with anyone he could get near at the end, like he didn't have a care in the world. I've never got over it and I can't watch Homes Under the Hammer anymore.

i met him in a pub a few years back and he was the most media trained friendly but unfriendly person i've met

think he got annoyed when i asked him what he was up to these days, having no idea about that show.

Because the fixture computer isn't so much a computer as two or three blokes amending the previous season's fixture list.

I've never believed in curses or somehow jinxing things especially in football with so many players, managers and tactics changing over so many years. A link just isn't possible but that record, even allowing for a few games against top clubs, is horrendous.

jinxes and curses are definitely possible and it happens through all sports.

just because you're not a believer doesn't make it not true.

Get your money on a 2-1 defeat ……

Looking at that list the confidence fills me with dred. Lets just hope Enzo has them ready and pumped up for it.

Remember the Ipswich 2-1 defeat at home on Boxing Day. Didn’t they score 2 very late goals including a stoppage time direct free kick to win it? Or am I mistaken of another fixture?

Thought it’s been pretty good tbh

Beat Reading and stayed top from that point onwards to win the Championship

Beat Man City with Ricardos goal

Sure, we’ve had some tonkings, a couple at the hands of Liverpool and last season when Rodgers was at his worst v Newcastle

I wouldn’t say it’s a curse

Both itemised  B.Day games involving Rodgers was his management tenure at it's worst - with that Liverpool game in 2019 being the start of the rot really IMO! The less said about last year's Newcastle game though, the better!

Yes, Darren Ambrose scored the late winner in 2002 for Ipswich at our place - then a season later in the Prem. he did the exact same scoring against us at home in injury time for Newcastle to grab them a point!

I think our lucks about to change!

don’t ask me how I know I just feel a little jingly at the thought of it

Well it’s Christmas…jingle all the way..

Festive games Rotherham, Ipswich (BD), Cardiff, Huddersfield…

like always…one game at a time..

This seasons approach Slowly Slowly catchee  monkey..

If we (fans) want to build up the BD curse…let that one day stay infamous,

We can afford cold Turkey now & then,

but we comeback often with some good ol’ Bubble n squeak.

Let’s not be finicky 9-12 points healthy targets. Tha na sqit no spuffle .

Ipswich vs Leicester is our major game, I hope we take the bragging rights…

Foxes …hold yew yard &  less the Puckaterry..

Enjoy…& slow you down…. Hope to   leave them a crockin

Rotherham at home early 2000s always stands out to me. Absolutely freezing and one of the worst games of football I’ve ever witnessed.

And I think the manager said he was pleased with the performance, which was a slight deviation from the 30000 who turned up to watch an absolute turd of a game ( me included). RUFC were bottom at the time so fingers crossed for today but would not be shocked if a repeat occurred.
