I was stood at the bar of the King’s Head earlier next to some Brummie tigers fans and it was slightly stomach churning, not just because they liked rugby

Harborough is the weird one, literally shirts from all over the place there.

The vast majority there are Leicester and you see more LCFC gear than you ever did when I was a kid.

Also arguably the only Leics town where, if people there support a local-ish club, it's only ever Leicester.

Harborough is fairly local to me and have never seen any other shirts other than Leicester. Considering its a quaint, market town I wouldn't be surprised if the others are just day trippers from further afield.

Yeah, if you're talking before the current influx of southern yuppies then I can only really remember the odd person who was a "proper" football fan who supported someone other than Leicester. Mind you, give my dues to the four blokes who used to rock up to The Loaf in Northampton Town shirts on a Saturday night.

Used to get some Arsenal due to wartime evacuees coming from their part of London and settling in Harborough afterwards.

Harborough is actually one of the most Leicester strong places I’ve been to, pretty much everyone I have known from there has been Leicester, moreso than actual Leicester

Loughborough changes with the wind. They had a forest spell but it's now swung firmly back on our favour. I'd say to the tune of 60%, 40% big teams and forest

I'm Loughborough born and bred and definitely a slight majority Leicester but they always has been a percentage of red scum fans

For people who wanted to follow Rugby over recent years, not every town or city has a rugby team. Tigers were like the Man Utd of rugby with fans from all over the country.

Coalville

Obviously

💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

I go on a Leicester/Coalville bus a lot of away games and fair plays, that town always has some numbers, added they run a supporters coach as well from there 👍👍

Nationally the biggest surprise was ( or not ) was it was actually Liverpool not Man U. That had the most season ticket holders that lived outside the local area.

I remember the same finding from a survey about 30 years ago

Grantham is all Notts Forest

My daughter lives in Grantham and she’s obviously Leicester. I’ve seen a few Leicester shirts knocking about Grantham when I’ve been too, plus, a few Leeds shirts 🤷🏻‍♀️ It is mostly Forest though but not all, thankfully.

Having moved from the city to not far from Coalville, this makes complete sense lol

I'm not sure many people would agree with me, but I think the Coalville area is great. Mostly friendly and humble people with the traits that Leicester as a city (the good side) had when I was growing up.

Leicester is a mere shadow of Coalville’s former self

Im Grantham always been a few of us kicking around and definitely noticed a few younger folk following us since our prem win. However its definitely far more forest and the usual Liverpool/man united lot.

All the above about Harborough is hilarious

so many former City Season ticket holders in the pubs round Harbs have packed in following City and now follow Harborough Town, there is just two divisions between the clubs now and it’s clear that Harborough Town is the biggest draw in town right now for genuine football people

I will also would encourage you all to go in any pub in south Leics when Liverpool are playing and tell me how we aren’t on Merseyside, it’s unbelievable how many 2016-2023 “city” fans have gone back to being Liverpool fans

the club is going to lose a generation of supporters if they are not careful; we need to give free tickets to schools while in league One otherwise we will be spending a decade trying to get the support back

Slightly away from the debate but I was amazed to see a young lad in a Leicester shirt the other week in Stockport. I saw as many kids wearing a Leicester shirt than City or Yanited. Mad

Not really a surprise there no?

Pretty much Leicester isn’t it, like Oadby, LFE, Kirby Muxloe, Narborough, Whetstone, Anstey and Glenfield.

Hinckley on the other hand is very mixed, same with Burbage.

Wetherby. Yes it's 70% Leeds, 10% Harrogate, 10% big six, 9.99% York, but there are at least two unconnected, unrelated, Leicester fan families in addition to mine. Up the Foxes!

In reality big six is probably a higher percentage sadly 🙄

If you (not you) can switch clubs, you’re not really a fan of anything. Just losers who won’t really enjoy anything football related.
