If people want to credit him when the team was scoring freely, talking about his movement, stretching defences, creating space then they have to accept the flip side too. When the goals dry up, the losses pile up, and he’s not scoring or contributing meaningfully, that same logic demands accountability.

As for strikers shitting the bed they seemed to do ok in his absence with 10 goals in 3 games before the final game of the season after his last game against Plymouth where he got 1.7 in the rating. But that must be from all the fans that don’t like him. Clearly the ones that do forgot to vote

Yes we scored goals in the period where we were in form, well done. Now, what about that spell Watford - Plymouth where Vardy and Nacho were also just not scoring?

You're being wilfully stupid and is there any actual point in engaging with you? Yes, he was bad in that Plymouth game. He just was no worse in that couple of month spell than any of the other strikers we had. He was no worse than Vardy was at Brizzle a couple of weeks earlier. He's a distinctly average player who gets heavier criticism than that would warrant, simply because the point of comparison is arguably the greatest striker we've ever had, certainly the best in living memory (can't imagine there's many left alive who saw Chandler play and can remember at this point given you'd need to be fast approaching 100 to manage that).

No don’t engage because you are being a bell

”He was no worse than the other strikers during that period”
Daka

6 games started

no goals

Vardy during the same period

4 goals from the 5 he started

Plus 1 in 13 min cameo against Norwich

Another 3 goals in the two games that followed.

He gets heavy criticism because he has been utter dog shit apart from a small period, to the point where he falls over most games and can’t control the ball.

He no longer has the burden of Vardy now, let’s see if he can turn it around before there are no excuses left.

I'd say I can't wait til we ****ing sell him but he'll just be replaced by someone else that can't possibly live up to Vardy's standards and everybody is disproportionately critical about.

For the blind faith you always showed in old 50p boots you should receive a percentage of his wage.

Not good enough, but will be very hard to move on I feel.

He knows he'll never get this wage again. He'll stay until the end of his contract and leave on a free to someone like Legia Warsaw.

A depressing reality.

Got a feeling RM will want to keep him, try fix him.

To be fair, i think anyone on paper would probably feel they could get a tune out of him. Reality always seems to be different though.

But beyond just Daka's football abilities there are other issues. He is out of contract end of 2026 so if he stays it will only be to run that contract down. There is more to fix here than just his inability to control a football.

Anyone who has watched Daka’s LCFC career under countless managers will tell you that this would be an utterly pointless exercise. You can’t fix a lack of ability.

Please, just go Patson lad. I heard Dagenham&Redbridge are looking for a new striker.

I’d imagine that not constantly fumbling the ball and falling on your arse are an essential factor for a striker even in the national league.

When pressing he looks exactly like the type of striker that would thrive under the Marti high press…. Then the ball drops to him and you remember he’s absolutely pony and his biggest flaw that being he can’t actually play football comes to the forefront lol

That there are people still defending him defies logic.

He needs a run in the side. He needs to get his confidence back. He'll score loads in the Championship.

And then you watch him and the reality is that he shouldn't be anywhere near putting our shirt on. He's just appalling.

He’s been crap ever since we bought him …he has had 1 unbelievable game and some not bad ones …on the whole he has stolen a career
