Daka

Do you think even those crazy Zambian fans still think he's a footballing messiah? As he a comedy sketch masquerading as a footballer. There is little left for him to surprise us with, as such has been his consistency. But bizarrely he does improve us at times, as he creates movement and pulls defenders around. But boy do we need to sign something better - soon!!

There was one point where his shirt was being pulled off his back and the foul went against him. The ref was pretty apalling even for this level but even mild-mannered Patson looked ready to blow.

Think that was about 88th minute... in the opposition penalty box... if I'm recalling correctly, and rightfully so... his shirt was nearly pulled off him

the system works better with him as the 9 because he presses more than Ayew does, if he's still here come the next game and we haven't signed another striker give him a start, Ayew for the last 20 or so might see him more effective too

Daka might suit the system better, but he never looks like he'll score.

He should of scored last night, he made a good run in behind and I think it was Thomas who picked him out with a diagonal ball, but his touch was terrible and the chance was gone.

I just hope we get a replacement and can't wait until he leaves.

Crazy criticism - required mahrez level of first touch to convert the chance

If you want someone who's got at running get someone from a park run who can run sub 20 min.

Fed up of hearing about his running.

He had his chances here hes sh2t.

Its not crazy, it didn't require Mahrez level. He's supposed to be a professional player, but ****ing useless.

He needs 3 skills, running, control and finishing, unfortunately he has the first.

£20million striker, signed for a top 10 premiership team on 70k, he should be scoring.

Ayew has the touch, but unfortunately wouldn't make the run.

Anyway sky thought he should have scored, but instead he's getting praised for blocking a shot.

Not what we need from a striker.

Also he was running towards the box with the ball, had plenty of time to cut in and get a shot away but stops, turns around and sends it back to the middle of the pitch.  Brain dead player.  He is beyond the excuses and copes that fans give him.

Him and Ayew are beyond meme footballers.

Should absolutely be starting in the strikers position ahead of ayew. Infinitely more pace and workrate whilst losing nothing in the liklihood of goals! Ayew looks much better playing behind him as well. There is also i suppose the vague possibility that regularly starting might rekindle the scoring ability weve managed to knock out of him over the last few years (he absolutely did have it when we first signed him), prob clutching at straws there though.

They might look much better doing like that but the bar is so low and their talent obviously limited we are just happy if they pass the ball forwards to another player

Horses for courses the change in bringing him on swung the game back towards us, not fully but enough to stop that BHM dominance as they were building up a head of steam and it was 1way traffic for a large part of the game we were just pumping the ball up and back it came.

I do think he’ll contribute with goals once he gets a couple but we need pace and movement to create for others, how many games in the past 3yrs had the tv commentators mentioned “ I think that’s Vardy’s 1st touch of the game” or stats at the end showed Vardy only had 3 touches the whole time he was on yet still affect the game with him just being there.

Yes he needs to score a ton load to get the credit we gave Vardy but as he’s the only other option we need to support him.

Ayew behind him is a lot better than Ayew in front of Page.

He's currently our best option as a 9. Hopefully we get a starting striker in ahead of him and Ayew, but Ayew is not a 9 at all. In the meantime, Daka at least helps with the pressing and can cause some chaos in behind with his pace, giving defenders something to think about and opening up opportunities for our wingers to find space.

Pressing isn't quite as simple as being able to run quick

We noticeably played higher when he came on. Worked really hard. Just needs confidence.

Was denied two clear fouls as well.

He's not the long term solution but his stretching of the pitch is so valuable imo. He was fouled early after coming on in the last two for off the ball pulls, just causes defenders headaches.

I don't know why we'd prefer starting Ayew who has the opposite effect. Play Daka and give us some space to play plus a long ball option.
