Thought he did ok for a first start. A bit naive and probably trying too hard, hence hung on to it a bit too long and the yellow. Good management by Enzo to hook him. A second yellow could have set his confidence back massively.

Saw enough not to ‘write him off’

if he wants to play the winks role then he has to learn about his positioning. Being out of position meant he appeared to be late to many situations. I thought he was about five yards too far forwards. So he was often moving sideways/backwards to make a challenge rather than being able to move forwards into making one. This also didn’t help him offer a good pivot point to receive and play onwards. 
 

Coaches can work on this although I suspect it’s an issue if it doesn’t come naturally in that area of the pitch

Nelson's made a few appearances but slightly surprised Alves would have got one over him despite not playing. Also Danny Ward (!)

Was he on the bench for any efl games? Alves was at Watford so I assume that’s why he featured in the photo and yesterday. If he did make the bench then he should have got the same as will

Exactly what I thought I’m sure he was on the bench for a game or two aswell?

Yes, he actually came on in at least one EFL game too.

I think he came on against Birmingham in the FA Cup and then started against Bournemouth in same competition, don’t think he made the bench for any EFL games

He came on against Swansea (H) on 30th Jan. Apparently that's his only Championship appearance according to Wikipedia and Transfermarkt.

Thought I heard the other day that you get a medal if you're in 25% of the matchday squads.
