Stolarczyk : Reminiscing of Shilton Days

Having Danny Ward at the club is a major problem for Stolarkzyk and even Iverson.

I would place Stolarkzyk and Iverson as 2nd/3rd choice and Ward as never being able to play for us again......

Get rid of Ward, pay off his contract and then ask Stolarkzyk to challenge for the No1 while Iverson stays out on loan.

Danny Ward owes the club a relegation alongside Rodgers........

Danny Ward is refusing to leave because he doesn’t want to take a pay cut:

Did anybody hear Stolarczyk interviewed on the When You’re Smiling podcast last night? He came across really well - very humble and determined. He also sounded more like he came from Prestwold than Poland…

Danny Ward should have some sense of responsibility for last season.

It cannot ALWAYS be about money with these pathetic footballers.

With a performance like last year he is lucky to have received ANY payment.

But when it comes down to it MOST of them put the Self above the interests of the Club.

“Ward has featured twice for Leicester's under-21s side in the past month, most recently in a 4-3 defeat to Everton in front of a crowd of 127”

Conceding 4 to some kids… never change Danny

Why hadn't the club think about sending him out on loan?

Unfortunately other teams have the ability to watch his past performances.

*Assuming you meant Ward...

Tbf who’s going to take him, especially with his wages? It’s hard to think of 5 worse gks than him in this division and league one teams aren’t going to be spending 10/15k a week on a gk

I know it’s early,but just on his last 2 outages,especially the last…

Not scared of using his whole area and protecting it.

Comes out for high balls, rarely rooted on his line.

Will look and be prepared to challenge and win corners,

pulling off saves, diving left or right..

willing to go in hand & head first

Against Birmingham is shot stopping ratio, and collecting crosses,

was one of the most a Leicester GK made over a few seasons.

Iverson the closest.

Yes it reminded me of the SHILTON ,WALLINGTON,  “Last man standing days”

which turned results around,sneeked  draws.

We shouldn’t belittle or underestimate “Starsky’s day at the office.

There were not 1,but 2-3 specials on that day, which we used to be astounded

in those Shilton,Wallington days.

Yes 3-5% distribution wasn’t perfect and if your that critical, then you can’t find

that fine balance that weighs up his performance..We didn’t chase perfection

in those days when you have the no1 or No3 GKs in England maybe Europe

Last Saturday we saw some top Goalkeeping ,Maidstone GK,but also our own Starsky

pulled out even more exceptional saves, and crosses..Stolar a stellar performance…

Outside the norm or average…

said to mate i think hes guna be great .i  like mads but i feel stolar is slightly  better , just nice to have 2 competent lads as gk.

To be fair conceding 4 goals in front of a hundred spectators is perfect preparation for playing for Wales in Cardiff

Been very impressed with him on the little I've seen. Hope he can get a move and get himself first team football somewhere. Nothing worse than seeing Keepers waste their prime years as a number 2/3.

Personally I would argue that there are indeed one or two worse things in life than watching Leicester in the knowledge that we have an excellent back-up keeper on the bench.

I think he’s slightly better in net but miles off when it comes to playing out from the back.

Of course they do. And why shouldn't they? It's their job.

Nobody would expect an accountant, or a teacher, or anyone normal, to move to a job that pays half as much.

Goalie is a funny one though. There has to be a backup keeper who hardly ever plays, so someone has to do that job. It's not like all the outfield positions, where there's every chance you you'll come on as a sub, or someone will get injured and miss a few games. Keepers hardly ever get injured and never get subbed, so every club has to have someone who's happy to be second/third choice, possibly for many years.

Nope. Forget famine, disease, poverty and Coventry fans. Seeing a man in his mid 20s settle for being a #2  is the worst!
