£3m-£4m sale with a 20-30% sell on clause seems realistic depending on wages, or do we think even that quantity is unrealistic? Like others have stated pure profit on FFP and PSR so would not be surprised if the club are pushing for his sale as well as the likes of Kristensen, Soumare and Souttar.

I doubt anyone is going to pay anywhere near that, plus he's out of contract as well so he's more likely to go to whoever offers the better wages at this point I suspect. I can't see why Leicester would take the option for another year unless we know we can sell him, wouldn't be worth wasting his career for that to happen, us not be able to shift him and then he has another year like this year.

£4-5m of pure profit on our PSR accounts could genuinely make quite a lot of difference come the end of next season.

Rudkin, do your fvcking job.

a) Is his stock really that high the fetch that fee?

b) Are clubs from the Championship/League One interested in Thomas really going to spend that much and cover his wages?

£4-5m for Luke Thomas?

To who!?

Isn't he out of contract in the summer? Likely scenario he'll walk away for free like pretty much every player seems to do in recent months.

We have the option to extend his contract by a year, which would enable us to sell him (assuming we can find a buyer).

This is too risky a strategy.

We can't line up a buyer as they'll all know his contract situation.  He'll have to go on a free and we'll just have to lump it.

£3-5m for a young defender with 68 PL appearances to his name is very cheap. I suspect the club will gamble that somebody will be interested in him at that kind of price, which would of bring us a useful little sum in pure profit.

Wouldn't we be due compo because of the extra year option, if he did leave this summer?

Thought if there was a contract offered to a player under 23, but they left on a 'free' they have to sort that out.

That would be wonderful but if a club is interested in him, I imagine they'd have spoken to his representatives already and told him not to sign a contract.

We have to be really careful not to get lumbered.

Honestly be surprised if we even got an offer of £1m for him

Expect we either won’t use the option and take whatever compo we get due to his age - or we use the option and he goes out on loan and leaves for free next summer

We will do the same we did with Iversen last year: get an offer, turn it down, and end up with nothing long-term.

We got offered around 4m for Iversen last summer and we could have got similar for Thomas as he stock was a little higher last summer.

Be lucky to get anything for him now!

We have an option to extend for 1 year

Given how generous we are, if that option is triggered I imagine he'll happily take the cash and go out on loan for a season then sign for a club on a free in summer 2025.

This is what I expect will happen

I love how Rudkin has collectively made us all so apathetic and expectant of the worst outcomes being achieved lol

Still makes me sick to think that at one point 60% of a Premier League back five consisted of Danny Ward, Daniel Amartey and Luke Thomas.

Rudkin pulls that off then I don't know what everyone's been complaining about.

Genuinely impressed if we get £1m for him.
