Young managers really are obsessed with possession stats and playing it safe aren’t they ?

I mean it's one aspect of the game and we've done it all season, but...the majority of our supporters want Maynard out.

I personally think that's a bit harsh, but we definitely need some sort of change because what we're doing right now just isn't working.

Well that is that. Better team won.

Tough call for the final. Should be interesting.

As for us...

It was an improved season from our first season back in the league, but...there's still so much that needs to be done if we're seriously going to look for promotion.

Better team won over the two legs. Wimbledon are the Burnley of League Two, with the best defensive record for a reason.

It'd be great if they could go up, much more than Walsall, who have been rather sloppy towards the end of the season, letting the league lead and automatic promotion slip away in spectacular fashion.

Guess the trouble is today needed goals and didn’t look like getting them which will be extra frustration I am sure .

I would point out that we were missing our top 2 scorers, but we had them for the first leg and still couldn't crack them open.

And there lies the main criticism of Maynard in that he doesn't have what it takes to manage a team at this level, especially in regard to any sort of offensive tactics.

That certainly didn’t help you and AFC’s early goal allowed them to sit back and they are very good defensively .

Who will win the final ?

Walsall seemed to have re-found their form. I didn't think they get past Chesterfield.

Wimbledon are just solid. I mean I usually would find something I dislike about a team we've played 4 times in a season, but I can't with them.

I'll go with Wimbledon 1-0.

I'm pleased Chesterfield managed top 7, there was a lot of talk with people at work and nobody thought it would happen but other results went the way. I think it can be repeated next season, similar to what happened after losing the National League play offs to your lot.

Hopefully County have another good season too.

It's great to see more teams come out of non league then have a good go in League Two.

Welcome to the sacked manager club !

Think your fans are quite happy with the news .

Well...You just broke the news to me lol

Not surprised, although I wasn't as harsh on Maynard as most Notts supporters, but it probably had to be done.

Of course with Luke Williams being available, there's some who'd like to see him return. I personally don't like going backwards.

I don't really know who we'd be looking at. Of course no one saw the Maynard appointment coming, so the brothers have often surprised us and I just hope this time it'll be a good one.

So... Charlton or Leyton Orient, whom do we prefer in the Championship next season?

Orient 100%.. Nothing against Charlton as such but Nathan Jones is such a weird little man and it'd be great to see Orient back in there..

Have a feeling Charlton will sneak it though!!
