Support your local team lads!!! These top 6 clubs don't need more supporters!

This is the reason why I'm desperate for Alves, Braybrooke, McAteer and Thomas to succeed. They're one of us. These other boys are not.

Kasey McAteer the Man Utd fan from Northampton?

Tweets like this help you forgive that a bit.

So why is KDH known as a Man Utd fan then? Hes exactly the same and loves the club like Barnes did

Really? That's a surprise. He came across as proper Leicester

Seemingly Lorenz Hutchinson hasn’t played an u21s game this season. Which I get is due to perhaps some of the other lads ahead of him being pretty decent but surely one or two games he could’ve been given a chance? May have improved our chances of keeping him

Snubbed by Nigeria but backed by Van Nistelrooy: 18yo right-back makes PL debut for Leicester City

Snubbed by Nigeria but backed by Van Nistelrooy: 18yo right-back makes PL debut for Leicester City
Talented right-back Olabade Aluko made his Premier League debut on the final day of the 2024–2025 season as Leicester City fell 2–0 to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

The 18-year-old was rewarded for his standout performances with the Foxes development squad, having trained with the first team in recent weeks.

Manager Ruud van Nistelrooy first named Aluko in a senior matchday squad on April 12 against Brighton & Hove Albion, though the youngster remained an unused substitute at the AMEX.

Eligible to represent Nigeria through his parents, Aluko had hoped to feature for the Flying Eagles at the 2025 Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Egypt, but was overlooked for selection.

The defender's camp was in contact with several officials of the Nigeria Football Federation before Flying Eagles manager Aliyu Zubairu announced his squad for the tournament in Egypt.

Van Nistelrooy, however, has earmarked Aluko as a future first-team prospect and handed him his senior debut in the 89th minute, replacing Victor Kristiansen.

Bournemouth had already put the game beyond reach with a second-half brace from Antoine Semenyo, before Aluko's introduction.

Aluko had previously faced senior opposition in the EFL Trophy, going the distance against Wigan Athletic and Northampton Town, and featuring briefly against Notts County.

Known for his maturity and leadership, he captained Leicester U18s in a Premier League fixture against Fulham in October 2024.

Louis Page playing for England U17s again this evening.

I was surprised when he dropped back down from the u21s to the u18s. He was performing well at that level.

England Under-17s exit the tournament at the group stage after collecting four points
The Young Lions drew with Belgium and beat Czech Republic but finished third in Group B
Starting the Young Lions’ 1-1 draw with Belgium in their opening game of the tournament at Egnatia Arena last Tuesday, where Alejandro Gomes Rodríguez’s opener was cancelled out by Noah Fernandez, Page was in England’s starting XI again for the 4-2 defeat to Italy.
Gomes Rodríguez’s brace wasn’t enough to take anything on matchday two in Group B, leaving England’s qualification for the knockout stages out of their own hands. In action against Belgium.

In action against Belgium.
Knowing a win over Czech Republic might not be enough to finish in the top two if Belgium earned a point or more against Italy, Neil Ryan's side did manage a 4-2 victory on Monday evening, with Max Dowman, Gomes Rodríguez, Harry Howell and Harry Gray all scoring during the first half.
Page came on as a substitute on the hour-mark, gaining further international experience, as Czechia pulled two goals back, but results elsewhere saw England finish third, on four points, missing out on progression on goal difference.
There’s plenty more international action involving City players to come over the course of the next couple of weeks. Check back to LCFC.com, the LCFC App and @LCFC on social media for updates.

Leicester City's 'powerful' new option adds sixth player to competitive position next season
The 18-year-old played the final five minutes in Leicester City's 2-0 loss to Bournemouth on the final day of the season in what was his first senior outing for the club

Leicester City’s newest debutant gives them a “powerful”, versatile option for the Championship campaign.

Eighteen-year-old Bade Aluko became the latest City player to graduate from the club’s academy and make a first-team appearance when he played the final five minutes of the 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth.

The full-back, a regular with City’s Under-21s this term, has been training with the first team for a couple of months and was given his maiden senior opportunity at the Vitality Stadium.

Like Jake Evans and Jeremy Monga, he’s nearing a new deal. That contract and his senior debut combine to put him in contention to feature more prominently next season.

“He’s a very good full-back,” manager Ruud van Nistelrooy said at full-time. “He’s made a great impression in training.

“He’s in the same group with Jake Evans, Jeremy Monga and Michael Golding. I felt he was ready for his debut today. He deserved it.

“He’s a very good, powerful full-back, going forward but defensively also very strong. I think he will be very good for the club.”

Aluko has spent most of the season at left-back but can play right-back too. He’s tall and athletic and has shown promise in the way he carries the ball forward.

It gives City another option in what is a competitive position going into next season. James Justin, Ricardo Pereira, Luke Thomas, Victor Kristiansen, and Woyo Coulibaly are all under contract, and none have so far been the subject of exit rumours.

Kristiansen, who left for Bologna on loan the last time City were relegated, would be the favourite to go, but Justin, Ricardo, and Thomas are all entering the final 12 months of their contracts at the club.

That could affect their futures, as the club won’t want to lose players on free transfers next summer.

It’s a shame Joe wormleighton is leaving, he looked really good a few years back

Yeah he seemed to be on the verge of getting some first team chances at one point, think he had an injury and never seemed to kick on but might be wrong about that

Shame to see Grist and Young not turn into anything either, remember both being highly rated youngsters we beat other Prem sides to get signed

Might be wrong but I think he’s had a fair bit of injury trouble.

Never like this time of year when youngsters are released. I know they can’t all make it but always seems so brutal.

Can see us having a very young u21 side next season as that 16-18 crop sounds like it’s very promising

Is he right or left footed?
