Brighton spent some serious money in the summer however I don't think any of them in particular have stood out or been that good for them so far

Beginnings of the end??? Back down to unflushable turd status like Evershit.

Time will tell.

I remember telling a mate that brighton may well see a similar decline to us eventually. It only takes a poor managerial change or a couple of poor transfer windows, others clubs buying your best players, eventually you won’t be able to maintain that level of standard when buying replacements.

I can't think how they spent do much, they just look similar to us. You wonder how much good stuff a decent manager can put in place to carry a club, I wonder if actually Potter, like Pearson here built the structure and ethos of the club, now each year that passes that is slowly collapsing, it will end in relegation. We absolutely can not compete with the cartel, if we do we must be punished.

Can't believe the gulf between Leicester and forest.

...I mean was bigger when we won the league... but ya good season for them.

They won't ever go any higher because that doesn't really happen in the EPL. The top 4 or 6 will be back to control soon enough while the rest fight for scraps.

History has shown us things can change so quickly in a season or two with a poor window of recruitment or a poor manager appointment

Christ, you're brave.

We're all supposed to say they're going to win the lot.

Yes everyone saying how brilliantly Brighton are run compared to us despite us winning the league. cup, and having three European campaigns, the biggest ever victory in the PL and two top 5 finishes need to reconsider.

The simple truth is that what we did was miraculous and although we haven’t matched it in the last few years it hardly means the club is run by incompetents. It just means we ve not continued to perform miracles and made some mistakes.

Forest will sure be punished for daring to dream, the Cartel will not allow such imposters

But remember how crap Forest were under Cooper last season. Its why all we have to do is survive this season. A bit of decent recruitment and Ruud getting things right, we could do well.

This league ain't special largely, a decent defence and you are half way there. There's a lot of dross, the Palace and Fulham games were there for the taking, we should have beat Everton at home. Fine margins, few mistakes and taking chances

Even without the points deduction and half a season under NES, they would only have finished on 36 points. Give RvN a decent summer and transfer budget, which should be doable now the 21-22 accounting losses are off our back for PSR purposes, and you'd think we can push on a bit.

I think the same folk who see Brighton as the ultimate example of how a club should be run are probably the same who think Graham Potter is a genius.

Their last few years have been the best in their club's entire history, and they have gotten absolutely nowhere near what we did between 2015 and 2022. And now it seems that they're at the midtable stage, which usually foreshadows a much deeper drop.

It's more that there always seems to be a weird bitterness about Brighton and when they have a bad result people start comparing them to us, because the people that run our club our crap everyone else's must be the same.

Any club who continues to make poor signing after poor signing, whilst spending millions upon millions, and then sails close to PSR or even breaks it (getting out of it by some loophole), is run by incompetents.

Are Brighton losing 100 million every season or whatever silly number it is for us?

Do they often only play 1 midfielder in Germany then?

Makes me sick saying it but Forest were unplayable today. Everything clucked

They were in the zone. reckon they would have pumped most teams but not that badly. Brighton were punch drunk

Nuno is a quality manager - time will tell on RVN
