There's no corruption, it's purely massive incompetence. As you say, it makes no sense. Every club has their fans that think that everyone including the league and refs hate them though.

Are you seeing a bit of improvement in performances under the new gaffer. Obviously you were gifted 3 points after Ruud decided to play 10 men and no keeper against you.

Yes, performances are night and day better than under GON simply because VP is getting the players to do the basic things right and mad stuff like standing where he tells them to, rather than chaos box tactics. Not here to gloat about the win, but clearly a shot in the arm for Wolves and Utd were barely better.  We are nowhere near being out of the woods yet and need defensive reinforcements early Jan having not replaced Kilman,  Mosquera being out for the season and old father time catching up with Craig Dawson.

Good to see Everton being dragged back in to the mix and possibly Palace, but it is still 2 from 4/5 and more probably 3,  with Saints gone.  I don't see the new Everton owners keeping Dyche long which could go one of two ways.

It definitely looks that way but have any of the clubs that have come up over the past couple of years operated particularly cannily in their summer windows? We came up and thought Oliver Skipp for £25m was a good use of resources ffs.

Fulham, Bournemouth and Forest all came up the year before we went down and all of them are in with a decent shout of European football this season. It absolutely can be done if the club makes the right decisions, which we clearly haven't so far.

Jury's out on RVN, but we would need a genius January transfer window to turn around the damage done in the summer.

There’s a very funny reply there that’s basically along the line of “he can’t be bad he started a Nottingham Forest netball team”.

The allegations against Marianakis are so severe that only two things will keep him out of prison a) a heart attack b) he has enough to money to continue to bribe politicians from keeping him away from trial.

Yeah exactly, I just think the 6 clubs that have come upon the past two seasons have been particularly poor. No doubt there is a gap but it's bridgeable.

Last season, Luton were unambitious in the transfer market as they were happy to bank the TV money for their new stadium rather than spend big and jeopardise everything. Burnley were a more competent Southampton in the sense that they stubbornly refused to change but had more about them and Sheffield United were just a financial shitstorm.

This season, Ipswich have probably progressed too quickly for their own good, we're just a poorly run club and Southampton had a fraud in the dugout until it was too late.

Southampton are basically gone, but one of us or Ipswich could survive.

thing that gets me is there is no consistency with decisions from the FA

but then again PGMOL, Premier League and FA are all corrupt anyway

I can't see how a cash penalty can be seen as appropriate. Should have added atleast another match. Also should have been all league games

Ha, I think it's fair to say most clubs have their fair share of thick and arrogant fans, but it takes a special breed of cvnt to get warned about racist chanting in the modern era like Forest have.

They were incredibly offended too. I remember their misspelled, gammony rants about 'omg u carnt evun say towne full of p*kis enny more' at the time.

I'm afraid I think we are gone along with Southampton. We're just not picking up any points, in fact we're not even close to doing so.  Villa away will in all likelihood be another defeat.  Ipswich are showing some spirit but still have a lot to do.

The summer recruitment was nothing short of disastrous. 35 million wasted on two players who offer nothing.

we're going to need 7 wins more and I can't see us getting them right now. Recruitment in January is always tricky and we need around 6 players to improve the starting line up to have even a chance of staying up.

Looks like the three who came up will go back down.

We’ve already picked points up under Ruud? So why do we not look like picking any up despite some decent performances of late?

I'm honestly fine with relegation. I'm not arsed if the EFL slap us with whatever sanction they see fit. I just want us to start running like an ambitious club again that does things the right way. The premier league is becoming more and more a closed shop and who can honestly say they're enjoying it

Totally agree, feels like we are desperately trying to stay in a blatantly corrupt club that doesn't want us anyway!

Like all governments, all politicians, all large corporations and on and on, the premier league, the FA, FIFA etc want power and total control, that means eliminating those nasty, unwanted surprises like small clubs actually winning things and making sure that those who oppose their corruption and bias by taking them to court and winning are excluded.

The game l grew up loving has been bought and now the only thing left is which moral free criminals will cough up the most money to own and control it.

And 4 games since then lost with a single goal scored and 12 conceded.

If the new manager bounce consisted of a win at home over a poor West Ham side who set a record for the most shots away from home and a spirited draw at home to a decent but not great Brighton side who possibly got complacent at 2-0 up, it doesn’t bode well does it!

Newcastle and Wolves rolled us over. Liverpool were able to conserve energy in a congested period of games and still eased to a win and Man City are the worse they have been in 15 years and looked shocking yet still eased to a win.

Sure points will be picked up but it is not unfair to say we aren’t looking like it at the moment. Villa will be tough away but we really need to sort ourselves out for the home games against Fulham and Palace after the cup game.

Shame the video seems to have disappeared.

This one hasn't.

Genuinely the most widespread racism I've heard in an English football ground. And don't think they've changed since, because they haven't. Probably the most racist club in the country.

I think the trajectory points to the opposite direction. We're now not scoring goals but still conceding. The quality of the squad isn't anywhere near good enough. We've taken 4 points from the last 6 matches.  Can you see us getting a result like Ipswich yesterday?  I can't. There's no identity to how we play apart from just easy to play against.

Not saying we definitely can't do it but everything is pointing the wrong way right now. A good January transfer window might tip the balance but I've little confidence of it being delivered based on previous attempts.

Good in theory, but I do see two problems.

1) Who would want to come when we're 19th and looking doomed?

2) Would you have faith in Rudkin to find gems or just waste money on players like Sean Longstaff?

Completely agree with both points.

I think both can be mitigated by giving Ruud more input into the transfers. If he can a) use his contacts in the game to either get some top players who aren't getting game time or some up and coming talent who'll struggle for 1st team football at their current club, and b) sells the vision of bringing in enough quality to survive the next few seasons, I think this can be achieved in a similar way to what Howe did when he first went in to Newcastle when they were staring relegation in the face.

If however it's left to Rudkin, we might as well get the wheels in motion to set up a phoenix club, as there won't be much left after the EFL have had their wicked way with us.

My thoughts are we're screwed regardless, so we might as well roll the dice and hope for the best. If we overspend we know that the worst the PL can chuck at us is a 9 point deduction. If the team assembled can comfortably amass 50 points next season then we should take the hit.

We're only a few steps away from chanting "Premier League, Corrupt as fuck" and/or hold up up "Premier League Corrupt" placards/banners.

Urgh, we're becoming that fanbase.

Always the victims. Wasn't Cooper slagged off for trying us to play the victim? Looks like it's rubbed off.

We'll have to wait until the written reasons are published to find out why Cunha only got 2 games instead of 3.

Then again FA decisions don't make much sense on a regular basis. How did Joao Pedro get away with 0 games for trying to take someone's head off?
