With regard to the Henderson incident was this Palace's "hand of God" moment?

I mean it SHOULD be talked about for months but I fear it'll be swept under the rug. Ludicrous decision that would have changed the game and the rationale for the decision was even more puzzling.

With palace winning the fa cup and potential for spurs and Chelsea as well to win a cup you wouldn’t have thought palace would have won the best one out of all 3 with how shite the formats have been for the new European cups 😬

What a day for the Palace fans. Wish we could have had a full crowd in 2021

The most egregious thing about the "We were in League One once!" Clap-the-team-off-after-another-spanking brigade is that they're happy enough for most Leicester fans to never get to experience that joy in the flesh at Wembley.

Palace don’t get any of the same praise the likes of Brighton and Bournemouth do yet they are doing the same thing but often with English players from the lower divisions

Newcastle's league cup run to win it was far more impressive than Palace's FA Cup run.

Strange seeing as the FA Cup is far more prestigious

Mate's dad was a big Palace fan who sadly passed away far too young.

Reckon there'll be a few glasses raised to him in Great Glen tonight. Pleased for his lads who got to see their old man's dream today. And people have the gall to do down the FA Cup.

Great when you see how much this means to the fans of a club. Fans going for 70 years and seeing them win fvck all until now. Brilliant, what football is about and far better than a rich 5 team winning it and not really caring

The difference in Glasner and Rodgers post-match is huge, Glasner very much the trophy doesn't matter as much as the moment does for the fans. Rodgers pleased for the players, for the supporters, the club, and for 'Khun Top', there was never an emotional attachment to the club, he was only interested in pleasing the bosses and furthering his career. Its the only bit that tars our win for me, I wish we had done it with someone who wanted to give more for the club itself regardless of ownership and give the fans those moments.

My mate, who's a Newcastle fan and just witnessed his club win something for the first time in not just his lifetime but his parents, didn't want Palace to win their first ever honour because they rejected Newcastle's £70m odd bid for Guehi last summer. He wanted to deny Palace fans the joy he experienced because he doesn't like Steve Parish. I honestly don't get it

Parish has every right to reject a bid for a player under contract. He also has every right to refuse to deal with certain clubs, and apparently he wasn't over keen on dealing with Newcastle due to their owners. You sell your soul to the devil, you pay the consequences. Newcastle had apparently agreed terms with Guehi prior to making a bid (which I'm sure used to be against the rules), but it's still in the selling clubs power to reject any bid. I think my mate also forgets that Palace sold Anderson last summer. No team is selling both their starting centre backs in the last few days of the transfer window, and once one is sold they are going to play hardball with the second one.

Find the attitude odd from someone who has just experienced what Newcastle fans have this season to hate on a club like Palace who are so well run at the minute and not want them to have their moment. Sure they've had some boring years, but Parish has done a great job recently, would love someone with his foresight on our board. I'm delighted for Palace fans, it's great to see different clubs win things and rise to prominence, just like we've experienced ourselves.

Saw someone the other day say English fans now support their team as if they're the club accountant, rather than a supporter.

This would seem to be a sad example of that.

I always thought i'd be bitter to see another non-sky 6 club win the FA Cup but I was chuffed for Palace yesterday.

One end of Wembley full of families desperate to see their club win it, the other full of people who couldn't give two shits.

While Liverpool fans weren't as bad as Man City were, it's quite refreshing to see two sets of loud and proud fans walk away from Wembley with the cups instead of Sky 6 fans.

Much as I cannot stand Man City I doubt that is true.  You don't travel to Wembley and not care if your team wins, whoever you are.  I imagine that they are gutted, particularly as it’s back to back final defeats for them.

I'm not so sure, I doubt he cares who he gets his money from, if Newcastle bid crazy money for him Parish would have taken it.

I mean that was just one of the things my mate was complaining about, so probably not true. In reality Palace made a couple of sales last summer, including Olise for big money and Anderson who was their starting CB along side Guehi. It put them in a stronger positions to keep players like him. Parish's aim is to keep Palace up and keep the finances in check, and the club has done that and more this season. I'm sure my mate wouldn't be happy if Newcastle just sold all their players this summer to the first team that bids. Especially if they already sold one for big money to the sell another star for big money too. Or if they sold Bruno I'm sure he wouldn't be happy to see Tonali also sold off too.

I have to admit I was a little bitter when Wigan won their first in 2012 because we still hadn't done it. But now we've won the league and cup, the more the merrier.

I've seen this said before but I was the other way around if anything.

I was happy for Wigan knowing we might not do it. Now that we have I'm torn between keeping it exclusive or the more the merrier. A lot of it depends on the club for me, I was happy for Newcastle and indifferent to Palace as I like the way Palace play but their fans think they invented how to be a passionate supporter.

I can understand that too. But I was really into football history growing up and it always bugged me we hadn't won the league or cup, especially the cup. Now our name's on the trophy I'm quite chilled about others doing it even as we decline. Never having done it is the worst thing iny opinion.

I think I would be if it was a league title. The cup win, while a great achievement for us and Palace, with Portsmouth and Wigan winning it in recent memory, it’s not unique. I don’t mind Palace winning the cup but yeah I’d hate if someone else won the league.

Depends on the team - Newcastle / Villa etc no even if they were up against Man City.

Bournemouth / Wolves and the likes, definitely
