Skipp man of the match for me, he was brilliant and everywhere.

Buonanotte is a special, special player in those tight scrappy games we are going to need his moments of magic this season - outstanding.

The back 4 all played well, Faes and Okoli won everything.

Vardy was off the pace, but Edouard was absolutely honking when he came on.

Surprised by the ratings. I thought Ndidi was better than Skipp today. Skipp was less effectively defensively and bar a nice run in the second half didn’t offer the creativity that you’d hope he would offer.

Squirrel 6, brief appearance. Showed a good turn of pace down the line.  But went straight down the tunnel. Hopefully he's not too badly injured.

Skipp did well today. He kept the ball moving and was always trying to get into positions to help his teammates with providing an outlet. Pity VK bombed it up too often and Ndidi was not much of a help. Disagree therefore that Ndidi was better in his DCM role - anyone who believes Ndidi is ever a good option for the DCM role needs to read and think carefully re the Ndidi threads. This topic has been well discussed. Don’t get me wrong, Ndidi is capable of the good pass every now and then, which is why him playing AM is preferred (but there are two other more attacking players in the side he is competing with, one of whom scored a spectacular goals yesterday and the other being Bilal), but him playing the DCM exposes others and weaken our ability to build from the back and pass it through midfield throughout the game.  This is why we are capable of the occasional brilliance but we can otherwise be consistent pinned back.
