I don't get the bench comments. What do you expect? Have Man City loaning us their bench for the game?

Maybe making the bench look so ****ing rubbish is his way of getting the fans to stop asking for subs. However it's full of his favourites today so we will be seeing the changes from the 50th minute.

I’d have actually picked Ndidi as a 10 and Ayew today due to how Southampton play out from the back.

Fatawu absolutely destroyed Southampton in the home game last season. Bagged a hat-trick IIRC. I'd love to have seen him in the line-up. You'd think psychologically, he'd have one over them as he took them to pieces.

@StriderHiryu called it in his ForFoxSake analysis that they would go to a wingback system given the pressure on their manager.

Well I got my wish. Skipp ahead of Winks. I personally think this is his most ambitious and attack minded side thus far. We should be capable of winning this!

Vesty had a fallout with that person who thinks he's a football manager. McAteer is too soft for PL. I agree Ward should not even be in the squad though.

Maybe people (me) are moaning as they are players that would better serve us starting the game and have seen enough of a trend from Cooper for not making the obvious choice early enough to make an impact and change the game.  Any subs are too late, usually a singular sub rather than wholesale changes.  Fatawu will come on late at the expense of Mavadidi rather than to compliment and aid. 

 

There is no way he will bring Ricardo and Winks on.  He’ll keep Ndidi on all game and take Skipp off for Soumare.
