He is likeable he just makes continual baffling decisions in terms of team selection ,subs etc 

 

He got away with it by getting closer to the team that 99% of us would have picked from the start on Saturday. 

 

He seriously needs to up his game because we are not fully pulling our weight irrespective of our position with the poor decisions he's making. 

 

Continued goals conceded down the right yet Ricky has not had 1 minute of Premier League game time so far - absolutely incredible incompetence

Agree. He does not seem the like the sort of bloke to keep his trap shut, won’t shout out, but can easily imagine he will tell it as he see’s it in private.

Must be honest, I am sold on @StriderHiryu explanation here, and that it’s a system problem rather than JJ being consistently crap. This obviously does not mean it’s ok, Cooper has to fix this systemic issue, although if we do have this systemic issue, we could just play Ricardo anyway!!

The amount of people who despise him surprises me. Not just on here but in general. Speaks very well and respectful of the club, which hasn’t always been a given with past managers as we well know. I remain skeptical of him and his tactical knowledge but would be delighted to be proved wrong. I just have so many concerns watching us.

Yes the first goal on Saturday showed up the problem well. 

 

I know JJ got skinned for the 2n but by and large although down his side I've often not thought individual goals have been down to him 

 

I'd drop Kristensen who is way out of his depth mvoe JJ across and bring Ricky in. 

 

A new left back in Jan is imperative

I think they have fallen out or Cooper really doesn’t want to use him

He had a stellar performance for Denmark against Spain. I'm not buying it.

Don’t think many despise him as such. Rather, they’re just confused, rightly in my view, by his team selections and preferred tactical set up. I think many of us would be more behind him if he dropped this daft lopsided formation, which leaves us vulnerable defensively and stunted in attack, and switched to a basic 4231, with Ricky at RB, Fats and Mav on the wings, and Facundo in the 10. It’s not rocket science.

I agree but unfortunately there are plenty that really hate him. I want him to succeed but have the exact same concerns as the ones you mention

Beggars belief that people on here thought giving Vestergaard a new contract was a good decision lol should have been told to piss off at full time at the Blackburn game.

Kristensen has been quietly going about his business. The fact nobody is talking about him much is a good sign. Dropping him would be stupid.

He was epic last year, accept being wrong and move on.

What are you going on about 

The blokes done well so far 

He’s been persecuted by forum fans 

He’s got us scoring goals 

I accept we concede early but blimey he manages to turn it around and we’re getting results so it’s not all bad 😀

I'm not sure people actually hate him, I certainly don't, I just don't like the way he's trying to reinvent the wheel and not playing to our strengths. Seems a nice guy, seems to have the players backing, but that goes by the wayside when your selections and tactics start us off on the wrong foot every week.

We wouldn't have to keep turning it round if he picked the right players on the right positions to start with, that's the point.

I get what you are saying, but if Fatawu (for example) starts, he likely won’t finish the game, and is he more destructive later? Cannot see the harm in trying it to be honest!

Win, lose or draw, we're going to see a meltdown at some point here on the day (even if it's just the team selected and Fatawu is a sub). Not sure if I can stomach it, but maybe I'm just deluding myself and will be lapping it all up. May be a good day to take the sleeping pills and avoid the stress. Not a fan of this kind of fixture.

It is a system problem and it has been pointed out before, buts it's cooper's way of creating an extra body in attack.  I can't see him shelving it, but it keeps leaving us exposed, it is a weakness that is being targeted and it is hurting us more than it benefits us.

To be fair, lots of people voiced their misgivings about seeing Vestergaard back in the prem at the time the new contract was given and especially at the length of it.

Were you there on Saturday? He’s not Premier League standard. Probably a good guy, tries hard but currently well out of his depth

Not all bad and it shows the players are still playing for him but he’s just not any bloody good - we’ll agree to disagree
