I would play 3 in the middle with Buenanotte and Ayew inverting from wide areas. Our chances will come from outnumbering them in the middle of the pitch and running at their centre backs

Leave winks and Ndidi in front of back 4 and let other midfielder (Soumare) with our front 3 go at them in transition

Despite the 5-2 scoreline I think we can get something from this on Sunday.

For 20 minutes in the second half we controlled the play, albeit we didn’t create a lot.
They are very dangerous going forward and will score but looked wide open at the back at times. It’s  a question of whether we can score as many as them .

Yes, that is the basic objective of football :scarf:

This is my fear exactly. He’ll set us up to try not to lose. Then we’ll lose.

He's like a broken uninspiring record. Death by a thousand cuts ✂️

I think 3-5-2 as previously suggested on here may be a good shout. Probably become 5-3-2 for long periods but we are playing a side only 2 points ahead of us. On paper an easier game than Forest where many expected it a winnable match.

I like the idea of 2 strikers (Vardy and Ayew) as Ayew can hold the ball up and keep it up the other end for a bit so ball not instantly coming back. Linked up well with Vards at Ipswich.

                     Mads

        Faes      Vesty   Okoli

Justin                                    VK

               Ndidi   Winks

                     Facundo

            Ayew             Vardy

I like, but what would be your answer to attacks in wide areas? It will makes us compact, but might leave it open out wide.

Can't be any more wide open than the cup match there. At least 3 CB in the middle to deal with balls in.

My first trip to Old Trafford tomorrow, taking the train. I’m going with my 9yo so not looking for a boozer, but if anybody has any recommendations of things to do on the way to and from Old Trafford I’m all ears. Taking the train to Piccadilly and have a few hours before and after the match.

We’re expecting a defeat, anything else is a bonus.

Tbf, Leicester people aren't wired positive.

There were numerous predictions of 6-0 drubbing at Ipswich last week.

I think it's a typical PL game. Probably a home win much in the way you'd probably expect them to beat Brentford or Fulham or Everton ....but likewise it's no great suprise if the away team walk away with three points. It's how the PL works.

National football museum is in Manchester city centre. Not been myself but might be worth a visit.

I don’t think we will. I can see us starting with the Ipswich line up. 1-0 down at half time then come back late when ayew comes on late to score an equaliser.
