Surprise dodoo hasn’t got a mention

I think he hits the peak of his career on his debut with that Hatrick against Bury.

McMahon was pretty well thought of wasn't he about 25 years a go? Not sure what he did for his career but he made one or two first team appearances.

I believe he had a bad injury and dropped out of the professional game.

Played against him a few years back in the veterans league when he was turning out for the University team. Best player on the pitch by a country mile

I mean, few comments about failures, but not being funny, how many clubs outside the top 6 have produced 5 Premier League players in the last 7/8 years?

Barnes, Choudhury, KDH, Thomas, McAteer… Stolarczyk and Nelson also looking good prospects, with the enigmas of Alves and Braybrooke, too.

Might not be elite level/world class players, but they’ve had/will have better careers than most academy players. I’d say we have a pretty decent hit rate for a club our size.

I think we could also add Calvin Bassey, Cedric Kipre and Jeff Schlupp - all have/having careers at championship/premier league level.

The academy has definitely improved over the years. Development of quite a few £20m plus players in recent years

Peter Taylor said " He's one for the future" after signing Trevor Benjamin for 1 million....sadly not ours ....he currently holds the record for the most league clubs played for 16.

Jacob Blyth.

Signed from Leamington, did great in the development squad then seemingly disappeared. Married the Holly chick from Geordie Shore but never quite hit the highs in football.

Still playing for Wythenshawe Town.

Think you will find that's John Burridge.

We have one of the biggest catchment areas in English Football and for the most part of the decade have been the only premier league club on the M1 corridor between London and Newcastle

Id say we’ve done ok nothing more

But that's not really how it works though.

I mean Alan Shearer born and bred in Newcastle was a Southampton youth team player.  David Beckham is from that there London, not really on Man Utds doorstep.

Tom Hopper, Adam Smith and James Pearson 👀

The bum cracks started to show towards the end of their time with us.

Never cut out for this level.

Remember Mickey Adams hyping up Nicholas Priet as one for the future. There was Tomi Petrescu as well. Don’t know ever happened to them

In terms of players who didn’t just play one of two games, Kerrea Gilbert was good for us in our League One winning season and just a young player, seemed to drop into the non league quite soon after though.
