He's more likely to be the one tucking in in a back 3 Yeah you could be right on that, but that’s only in possession and sitting in CM would mean Justin is probably closer to his position than he usually is where he was often hovering around the opposition box or further forward under cooper where he constantly got exposed on the break. I’m just not sure he would fancy kristiensen to be tucking into midfield since he was pretty vocal to Enzo that he couldn’t do that job and wanted to go out on loan to avoid it.. others pointed out Hamza coming in and that probably makes much more sense. cityfanlee23 Posted 29 November 2024 Posted 29 November 2024 Credit to those pointing out that Hamza could be playing right back and tucking into midfield. That makes far more sense than my daft idea of making JJ do it (because kristiansen literally fled to Italy to avoid doing it) I’d be happy to see JJ given a rest and for hamza to step in too.

I have a funny feeling Soumare will feature heavily in RVN's plans, he fits the Sangare role that he had at PSV of being a defensive minded midfielder who can also be quite comfortable on the ball. If all players were fit, I'd guess Ricardo would be at RB inverting to CM, Winks will very much suit RVN and would replace Ndidi, and El Khannouss may be dropped, Buonanotte taking his spot and Fatawu stepping in to right wing. I won't be surprised at all if the Soumare call is wrong and Ndidi returns to his old CDM role, the attacking experiment worked fine in the Championship, but going forward Ndidi has been caught out too often this season. Sorry, but that midfield scares the hell out of me. Faes is a bombscare But hey... That's just my opinion. 3

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 29 November 2024 Posted 29 November 2024 Come on Leicester fresh start, let's do this 2
StevieH Posted 29 November 2024 Posted 29 November 2024 We are so poor at the moment. Just seen Southampton draw at Brighton and they look miles better than us. We've been really lucky with the points we've gained. RVN will need to earn his wages with what he has to work with. Can't see anything but a loss tomorrow I'm afraid

You are probably correct on that front. However Soumare has the workrate of a dead hamster, and seeing his lack of urgency and jogging around the place makes my blood boil. Ndidi will.never be an advanced Attacking Midfielder as long as he has a hole in his @r$e. But deployed as cover for the defence, I'm down for that, but he lacks technical ability to support the attacker's 2
Happy Fox Posted 30 November 2024 Posted 30 November 2024 You cannot underestimate the Ruud effect, the players will be shackles free, no more Cooper shite ball
Raj Posted 30 November 2024 Posted 30 November 2024 Under normal circumstances we would have easily lost this 3-0 but with the ruud effect I'm.going for a 3-0!!!! 1
FrankieADZ Posted 30 November 2024 Posted 30 November 2024 strangely think we'll get least get something from the game 2-1 to us, Mav and Bilal goals 1 3
JimJams Posted 30 November 2024 Posted 30 November 2024 Could go any way. But a Brentford win would be the obvious call. A situation where we're free of the negative tactics employed by Cooper but aren't getting an idea of the new setup because Ruud isn't in place for this game. The best anybody has done at the GTech this season is a 1-1 draw. However, there's a bit of a caveat to that. Although they've won 5 and drawn just one of their 6 home games, they've had an almost anti-Wolves start to the season on the home games. Wins against Palace, Saints, Ipswich, Wolves, Bournemouth and a draw vs West Ham. It's a great run, but it's also a run that's come against literally all the bottom sides in the division, and we're here to complete the set. Hopefully upsetting the trend. Any points would be a massive lift, but a loss wouldn't be horrendous because it's all largely irrelevant in the context of our future under Ruud. Got a feeling we might take a shackles off approach and made to look a bit naive and leave ourselves open to a decent attacking side, only Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool have scored more. As long as we show a bit of desire to win, start the game lively and don't shoot ourselves in the foot, essentially make Brentford work for it, then I'm ok with whatever happens. Then we can get onto the Ruud era.
adejo92 Posted 30 November 2024 Posted 30 November 2024 That uninterested this season didn't even realise we play on Tuesday too! 1

Then again he could be very rusty having not played for a while. If Hamza is the answer then we’re asking the wrong question.

brookfox Posted 30 November 2024 Posted 30 November 2024 Not getting the talk of which full back will invert into midfield. As I understand it, Enzo created the overload by inverting the FB, Ruud does it by pushing one FB to the wing then the winger on that side becomes another 10. Essentially the same 3-2-4-1 formation but achieved differently. Could well be wrong though!

fox_favourite Posted 30 November 2024 Posted 30 November 2024 I have a tingle that we may get something from this. They're unbeaten at home...but the have to lose at some point. Either that or I'll need to go to the docs for the tingle.
