Not looking to beat him with a stick,. just an observation, I would be ok with a potter appointment.  Proven EPL experience.

Sorry was only quoting you but I meant I've seen that used as a criticism of him before. Let's be fair, we're not going to get anybody who's perfect

I think the new manager, whoever he is, will get a decent transfer budget in January.

Any manager worth his salt would make that a condition of taking the job.

Whoever it is, I hope that as a group we can all try and be united behind them.

I know thats a bit rich from me as I was cooper out for a while, but I felt I had good reason.

But we need to get back to uniting together as a group and back whoever it is as its going to be tough.

We need a manager that can get the max out of Bobby de Cordova Reid

Joking aside - it's a clean slate for everyone, and there is no reason why Bobby doesn't have something to offer still.

Noone seemed to make sense of Cooperball, and i imagine Bobby coming from a well coached Silva side has probably wondered wtf has been going on the last few months.

I wonder how we could set up under Potter - if he uses the 3 at the back, then I could see him getting the best out of the central defenders. I think it would suit Faes, Vestergaard and Okoli. They all have deficiencies in their game at this level that having an extra body back there could make the difference, while also play a progressive style of play that gets the best out of Vestergaard, Soumare, Winks and our attacking players.

Faes

Obvious thing but we should always try and get the best available who will come.

That in my view happened when we got Brendan. The fact he went mardy like a big kid was difficult to predict.

The best available who we may get in my view is Potter. Good tactically, style of play good and he has a lot to prove as much has anything in his own head

Hands down the best option from the managers I know who are available it just depends if he fancies it.

Didn't Potter's Brighton team once go about three years without scoring ?

Yes.  But say it quietly around here because lots of people are expecting exciting, free flowing, progressive football.

I think it would have happened anyway, even with Cooper. He did mention that had the PSR judgment came sooner, the summer window may have been different.

I think at one point they had the highest XG in the leauge but weren't scoring becuse they had Neal Maupay on the end of all their chances
