No way we'd have played like that under Cooper, not least because he refused to play Bilal for some reason.

Ultimately, RVN inherited a squad with no identity that wasn't his own and he's yet to have a full strength squad to choose from.

There have been green shoots in the last couple of games in terms of performances, but this January transfer window is huge. We just have to hope that he has enough contacts at Old Trafford and in Dutch football to bring in some quality.

100% agree , I believe he’s got the contacts and nous needed the big question is WILL LEICESTER BACK HIM WITH THE ££££

You'd think that Manchester United, knowing they're getting bugger all this season, would have no problem giving young and fringe players some Premier League experience before moving on some of their dead wood in the summer.

Exactly Bilo, judge him after he’s at least got some players that he wants , he’s inherited this squad of players and he can  only play who’s available to him. It will take time end of story , I just can’t see him getting the backing we need , hopefully I’m proved wrong 🦊🎄🦊🎄

We've conceded 12 goals in 4 games and barely scored. Lost 2-0 to the only team with form as bad as ours who couldn't defend, riddled with injuries and low in confidence.

Yes some nice sequences of play but pointless when the opposition are ahead with the pressure off.

Hitting the post is just poor finishing.

Think he's out his depth and it was completely the wrong situation for us to take a risk on a manager like him.

It will be like this having the odd good performance (still losing 0-2) at home untill we are cut adrift and its too late.

Our position in the table is dropping like a stone. The goals have dried up and we still cannot defend.

This is supposed to be our season saving new manager bounce and we've lost 4 games on the run but its RVN who was a great player so the theory is we just wait because its all goibg to come good?

The idea we get some new signings in January and it all clicks is delusional. All 20 teams will be looking to strengthen and our negotiations are from a place of weakness now.

If it was a manager with a different name would we think this is going OK orv8s going to be Ok?

He could read Foxestalk and we’ve identified a load of players for him! lol

He's in a bit of an odd position because, while this is only his second managerial position, he's been in coaching for years.

Bags of contacts at Manchester United, PSV and in the Netherlands. I wouldn't be surprised to see plenty of Dutch players being linked.

Depends how you paint the picture.

The win was against a West Ham side only one place (2pts) above us at the time, and at home, where we spent the majority of the match under pressure. Brighton was a decent point, granted.

Between Newcastle & Wolves we shipped 7 goals. 7 Goals in 2 games.

Add Last nigh in, that's 10 goals conceded in 3 games.

Fair enough if you can take the positives out of that but i think its horrendous and the league table would evidence that.

The picture is West Ham are now 9 points above us since then, so it can change quickly, do we really believe West Ham are that much better than they were when the played us, January will make or break out season a transfer window and some winnable fixtures.

I'm not sure what I think of him yet. We've played some nice stuff, but ultimately we concede so many goals, don't score many and the results are poor. That said, the squad is clearly very weak.

His style would probably work really well in the Championship, with the right players. Ultimately, that's what I think we have to start thinking about.

!00 % correct.  It was clear to see today that the Coaches have been working with the players on new patterns.

You could see the improvements in several players today. Bilal being the best. He's a royals royce of a player.

Not a lot wrong with the performance overall except the result.

Ruud clearly needs time to improve things but also support in the market from the Club.

Let's see where we are with a few signings.

Pace on the wing, quality FBs and a bit more industry in the middle and I suspect RVN will feel much more content.

After the Wolves game, I thought we were eleven players away. Now I think we're a RB, winger, box-to-box midfielder and perhaps a striker.

There are already reports that he'll be using his contacts at Old Trafford to bring in players. Malacia could be an upgrade and do well in a new setting, as could Zirkzee on the wing.

Pep said post match, due to injuries his team and the festive period his team wasn’t set up to press and had no energy.

We don’t normally have this much time on the ball, which benefits our players.

Injuries and the fixture list haven't been kind. So I'm willing to give him a few more games. But if we continue to lose alarm bells are ringing and it looks like a poor appointment

Tbf we signed a "leader" in Coady but doesn't appear to have any organisational ability

He can point and shout all he likes but if Vestegaard is too slow to get there it's not much use. At Wolves he had Boly and Saiss either side of him who weren't slow.

Playing in a two is a lot harder than sitting back and sweeping up in between two guys in a three as well.

We've conceded 12 in 4 games but that's just a surface level analysis.

Newcastle - we were forced to play Skipp and choudhury and ward because of injuries

Wolves - we had to play Skipp and Ward

Liverpool - best team in the world.

Man City - we played well

With our best XI minus Fatawu we are actually playing well enough to stay up. Cooper refused to even play our best players and we looked awful. Van Nistelrooy at least has us looking like an actual football team.

It's not the easiest deck of cards but all teams have injuries this time of year. Man city were absolutely riddled with injuries today for example. Its not just us having to improvise. Skipp is a 20million ex Tottenham international not exactly fresh out the academy.

He chose to play Danny Ward which was a disaster when we had jacub. Why have we only just seen Facundo back starting and linking in well with bilal which we all knew he would. The subs are odd.

These performances haven't been good enough. Apart from maybe Ipswich or southampton just where are we getting a result from?

You don't play well and lose 2-0. When it mattered we made mistakes and our finishing was awful. Wolves was an unbelievable performance. Newcastle I wanted to cry.

West Ham the first gane in charge with the players wanting to impress has been our only victory.

It was ugly to watch but even cooper would have taken more points from the last 5 games.

We're not playing well enough to stay up look at the results.

Zero points in 4 games.

Goal difference - 11

In what universe does Steve Cooper take more points from the last 5? We had lost all confidence under him and the only game you would argue that the result has gone against what we expected was Wolves which was a Danny Ward disaster class, otherwise they have all been as expected.

Let's just get behind Van Nistelrooy and the team, we have half the season left to go and we will get results if we keep on playing football like we did today

I really really hope Top hasn’t acted poorly again and lied to this man about the funds available in January. Being bottom 3 going into the window is going to make it difficult and we will have to pay over the odds. Top better not have been lying when he told him he will be backed.
