Do yourself a favour and stop this pipe-dream lad. Google is free and Dyche couldn't get Everton to score in most games. Sacking another manager now is not the answer.

So what is the answer ?

Go down with RVN and not win a another game !!!

Yeah why not. No guarantees with any manager, and currently the s**thouse board (who you should be focusing your attention on) have currently backed him with a £3m fullback who couldn't even be registered in time for a crucial game.

Meanwhile Saints have had Groenbaek wrapped up in about two days.

So yeah there's your answer!

There have been issues with some of his decisions and 7 defeats is never excusable at any level. However, you’ve got feel for him. He is seeing relegations rivals add players (always think it’s difficult to know if they have added strength) and based on Enzo’s comments last year, you wonder if he was given the full picture. I highly doubt he was.

He’s arrived here in good faith but boy it must be difficult working under our regime. He is most likely going to have a relegation on his CV. Big name managers can come back from it based on their playing careers and evident from the likes of Lampard and Rooney who keep getting jobs.

Reality is, no one is an absolute miracle worker. Even survival specialists like Allardyve and Dyche (neither of whom I’m asking for here by they way) need some tools. He has been let down by some very experienced centre backs, midfielders and his striking options are limited.

No one is going to fix what has been done to us, I’m hoping for our sake and RVNs that the players can fluke the odd result here and there but due to poor leadership and recruitment, we are not even close to being competitive at this level and the season evens itself out in the end.

I genuinely think Cooper would be sticking with Ward as well. #PremierLeagueExperience

After the abuse Ward took v Wolves no chance don't forget he picked Ricardo in the end and started to play more Enzo ball to to appease  the fans and even if he did we would still be in the same position  just would probably  have lost by more

this is why the board have to resign. The comments from Ruud clearly indicate he was given some promises of funds for this window. You've already referenced Enzo, and much as we criticise him for his response of just downing tools, Rodgers was obviously promised some funds hence his constant going on about a rebuild. That's 3 of the last 4 permanent managers the board have mislead on funds if nothing else happens with this window and is gross incompetence

Jaap Stam offering to support RVN and sort the defence out!

Ruud van Nistelrooy gets green light for surprise Man United reunion after Leicester nightmare

The latest Manchester United news as the Leicester City boss has been offered help from one of his former Man United and international teammates.

Former Manchester United defender Jaap Stam has said that he would be open to joining Ruud van Nistelrooy’s coaching staff at Leicester City to try and help save the club from relegation.

Van Nistelrooy replaced Steve Cooper as manager at the King Power Stadium at the start of December, just a couple of weeks after a successful four-game interim period in charge of United. After an initial upturn in form with the Foxes picking up four points from their first two games under the guidance of the former striker, things have been harder going in recent weeks.

Despite some performances probably deserving more, Leicester have lost each of their last seven league games. The only reprieve came with a 6-2 win against Championship QPR in the FA Cupthird round earlier this month.

The results leave Leicester in 19th position in the Premier League table, two points adrift of safety. They are next in action when they take on Tottenham Hotspur away on Sunday afternoon.

One of the problems Van Nistelrooy has faced is with his defence. Leicester have kept just one Premier League clean sheet so far this season, and individual mistakes keeps seeing them concede goals.

Former defender Stam has now offered his help. Asked on Viaplay if he would be willing to take an assistant manager role at Leicester, Stam replied with: “Yes.”

After apparent surprise from the presenter, he added: “Didn’t you expect that?” Before joking: “Maybe when I go into training for two weeks I can still play a ball.”

He then added more seriously: “If Ruud were to call, I would certainly do so.”

The 52-year-old is currently manager of Dutch side DOS Kampen, having been appointed in the summer. He has previously had spells in charge of Reading, Feyenoord and Cincinnati.

Stam and Van Nistelrooy’s time at United as players only overlapped by a few weeks. Van Nistelrooy arrived at the club in early July 2001, with Stam leaving in late August of the same year.

The two would have however played on the international stage together with the Netherlands. Both players started every game of Euro 2004, helping the Netherlands to the semi-final of the tournament in what was Stam’s final appearances for his nation.

Embarrassing.

Literally worse than when Steve Walsh offered his managerial services to the club live on Sky many moons ago....only to be met with a deafening and rather humiliating silence.....

Ruud has been a huge disappointment. I was excited by his appointment and although a big gamble, thought we couldnt get worse than Cooper.

He has been useless though and his only saving grace is the club clearly cant back him in the transfer market.

Ruud is in course to break two historic records.

Most consecutive league defeats and most consecutive league home defeats.

Currently 7 and 4 respectively. A loss to Tottenham on Sunday, and a loss at home to Arsenal on Feb 15th will equal the records.

What a shambles.

Think a lot of revisionism is going on in people’s head’s with Cooper, as they conveniently forget all those key players out and being left with the dross Cooper signed and NOT being able to bring his own players in.  While I’m not totally happy with with RVN’s team selections, Cooper should never have been appointed, so let’s not talk like he should still be here. This is all on the board !!

Cooper was a Kalvin Phillips brain fart from losing 5 on the trot with his next 2 being a resurgent West Ham and Brighton... he wasn't a million miles away.

Cooper lost twice in a week to a very poor Manchester United (conceding 8 across the two games) who are worse than Man City.

Cooper already lost to Villa once this season.

Cooper already lost to Fulham once this season.

Plenty of arguments to go the other way too.

Yep let's just ignore the fact we played our reserves in the United Cup game when they played a full strength side

Seriously though where are his staff??

He has added “some” staff.

However I’m guessing the challenge is wi the him falling out with the previous ones he worked with and then only being in a temporary role at Manchester United, he’s basically been the “Graduate that showed loads of potential”.

If you look at the staff listed currently:

Jello ten Rouwelaar

First Team Coach

Joined with RVN after leaving Manchester United, where he was a Goalkeeping coach.

Brian Barry-Murphy

First Team Coach

Joined in January, formerly a Manager at Rochdale but was Manchester City Elite Development Squad.

He is well thought of within the game. His spell at RochdalI didn’t end well. They did play the football Top likes. I didn’t know if he was added by RVN or the club to be honest.

Then we have,

Ben Dawson,

First Team Coach,

Joined from Newcastle as part of Coopers staff in the summer.

Andrew Hughes,

First Team Set Piece Coach

Joined from Norwich as part of Coopers staff in August.

I personally think he needs a more experienced head to help him, almost like a tutor / mentor.

I think he clearly has the right ideas and wants to play the brand of football the club wants.

He maybe needs someone who can support him tactically and game management wise.

Someone like a Craig Shakespeare, Nigel Pearson, if you want to go Dutch, Lodeweges, Advocat etc. Clubs employee these people all the time as special advisors.

Are they all key players? Riccy ain't been involved for ages, when he did play this season he was not great. Fats is not proven at this level, again only shown flashes when he was playing. Ndidi I'm pretty sure he wasn't getting glowing reports when he was playing. Herm is obviously a big miss. But the others, may not be any better than we have. Just more options. My point, we may have not been that much better off, it's not like we're missing 4 cole palmers. Though I do think if herm was available, we may have scraped a result here and there.

Desperate attempt there, he went on to beat West Ham & Draw to Brighton (away) and the games he lost included Chelsea, Man Utd and a pretty ruthless in form Nottingham Forest...

Cooper saw his side hammered twice by a Manyoo side its current manager has called among the worst in its history.

Even Wolves and Ipswich have taken points from them.

Our club has made many grievous errors over recent seasons, but replacing Cooper with RVN wasn't one of them.

If you are a Premier League manager you shouldn't need a mentor, you are part of the elite managers group.

In our case RvN is not - way out his depth, loved him as a player and his period here has massively tarnished that.
