I assume we are returning Edouard so we will have 1 loan, so we could bring in that and 2 to 3 permanent.

We were in a similar position in January 22/23, and only brought in 3 and went down.

If we don't bring in a numbers and quality we go down.

We also have 2 non PL loan spaces so could see us getting a couple in from abroad. We need to be proactive in this window as this current squad goes down

We need a striker who can hold the ball up, is quick and presses extremely well. Daka can do a few of these things but he's still not as all rounded as a striker that I think we need.

100% we need someone who can make it stick and give us time to get up the pitch.

Problem is someone with those attributes isn't cheap.

We need to keep Buonanotte I'm hoping they reject the Spurs interest we know what we have with him would Ferguson make an impact, I would send Édouard back and recall Cannon as back up to Vardy and Daka we need to strengthen in defence this is the priority.

Fotis ‘3% goal conversion rate’ Ioannidis can do that

I agree about recalling Cannon (assuming we can - Souttar had a clause saying we couldn't, as he'd played so many games).

If Spurs ARE bidding whats reported, there is no way Brighton will turn that down. I'm sure the reason we didn't start him recently, is cos Brighton wanted him back and didn't like him risking injury (we must have insisted, for the Man City game!).

It’s being reported that Spurs are lining up

a £37m bid for Facundo so there is a good chance he will go back if they receive an acceptable offer.

I’d imagine that’ll get rejected, as that’s low balling.

Which is why we will be looking at players who need a second chance maybe……

I think that's more then a fair price, I wouldn't be willing to play that.

Is he a better player then El Khannouss who we paid 20m for?

I would snap Spurs' hand off for that if I were Brighton.

I'm far from convinced he's any better than BEK.

I don’t think he is, and I’ve been thinking would KDH offer more in that role? I like Buonanotte, he’s a very talented player but Bilal I’d say is better!

Bou back to Brighton / Spurs

We loan Ferguson with option to buy

Send Edouard back

Get KDH on loan

Then we can spend some money on a Defender or two and or a winger

I honestly think that, with BEK in, that Buonanotte wouldn't be a terrible loss if he were to be returned to Brighton or sold by them.

If we assume, as per media reports, that RVN is tapping up one loan space from Man United and returning Edouard to Palace, thus meaning we're probably going to bring in a striker or wide attacking player, then you'd have to think that playing time might be limited. I like FB but I think we need a replacement for Fatawu until the end of the season more, and FB is a different kind of player.

Let's not forget that we paid what was considered UNDER market value for Bilal (a rare one for us) so just because we got what could be a bargain on one player does not mean Buo isn't worth a higher fee.  He just won't be a bargain.  But go back a few months and people were losing their shit about what he could be worth.  Why doesn't that still apply?

I'd be good with us paying that if the second half of the season sees his performances go along a similar path.  We don't have it though.

I would take that.

Bring in Van Ewijk from Coventry and a decent winger and we look decent.

Hermansen

Van Ewijk

Vestegaard

Okoli

Kristiansen

Soumare

KDH

Winks

BEK

(insert winger name here)

Ferguson

Then the question turns to which winger we need.

I agree. BEK has become more important in my opinion, and is starting to look like he will produce more. Completely agree with what you say.

More importantly, he's our player. Do we want another Lookman situation where we develop a player beyond our affordability, only to see him become an absolute asset for someone else?

Not for me, I'd rather be building up BEK to eventually become an £80m player and return to the model that served us brilliantly until 2021.

Absolutely with you. Plus if we send FB back, and have someone lined up to sign of a similar nature, we are laughing!

If I were Brighton I'd snap their hands of for £37mil. Facundo has his moments but he's nowhere near a £40mil player currently, you would just be paying for potential and there is no guarantee that he will reach that next level.

It would soften the blow if we’re losing him regardless

It is if the player wants the move, what does he have to prove with us now if the Spurs rumors are true ?

Big if's in both cases though. I'd take Ferguson, of course, if Bouna went back against our wishes. Otherwise, no.
