McAteer helping JJ with Mitoma/ whoever roams over there. Question whether you bring Okoli back in to deal with Welbeck Mcateer couldn't help JJ catch a cold! If there's one thing West Ham showed, it's that these two can't be partnered on the right ever again, they were incredibly poor together! We have to play JJ due to injuries but anyone on the right would be better with him than Mcateer, even Ayew. 1
Paninistickers Posted 5 December 2024 Posted 5 December 2024 We gotta stabilise that midfield.. I'd (yes really) go Cooper style and try to be conservative for 60 mins and status in the game then reassess. Skipp for Buonnotte. Daka ahead of Vards. Look to bring on Vards and Stephy as the game changers later on

Makes you wonder if there's another reason he hasn't been being picked lately ie illness or training attitude? Otherwise I'd have thought he'd have been an almost automatic selection? 1

izzymuzzet Posted 5 December 2024 Posted 5 December 2024 (edited) Think I'd try getting another body in midfield for this and play Soumare further forward. Midfield 3 of Ndidi, Skipp and Bouba with Mavididi left, Bilal right and Vardy central. Edited 5 December 2024 by izzymuzzet

There was a point on Tuesday where he really only made a half hearted effort (if that) to chase one of their players down who was bursting into our half. It looked like bad attitude to be honest but I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt for now. Maybe as alluded to above he’s actually not right at the moment. 3

Jazzy_Jeff Posted 5 December 2024 Posted 5 December 2024 Mads JJ Okoli (Coady) Vestergaard Kristensen Ndidi Soumare BDCR Bilal Mcateer Vardy Ward, Faes, Coady (Okoli), Thomas, Skipp, Winks (Choudhury) Ayew, Mavididi, Daka Players in brackets relate to injuries
Guest Bilo Posted 5 December 2024 Posted 5 December 2024 With no Facundo and Mavididi looking unfit, I'd snap your hand off for a draw.
squidsworth Posted 5 December 2024 Posted 5 December 2024 (edited) Boon-a-not-eh wasn't that great on Tuesday to be fair, so not a bad time for him to have a rest. Hopefully he'll come back raring to go post Sunday Just stick monga up there somewhere, he'll give us the same level of energy at least. Edited 5 December 2024 by squidsworth

I was wondering if he was injured as there was a point late in injury time where it seemed players were avoiding passing to him when he was in a prime position to take it into a corner. He did look to be struggling.
City blue Posted 5 December 2024 Posted 5 December 2024 Might not be a popular pick but I'd like to see him give Hamza a run out . He will run all day for you ,snap into tackles and even though he can be a red card on legs at times he can handle a full back role or DM .

southfox66 Posted 5 December 2024 Posted 5 December 2024 Watching Brighton at Fulham tonight should give us lot of hope for Sunday. If we attack like Monday and can improve defence we will give them problems.

Clever Fox Posted 5 December 2024 Posted 5 December 2024 Brighton losing 3-1 to Fulham tonight. They do look beatable . Another win for us and it will help greatly with our confidence. 2
Sunbury Fox Posted 5 December 2024 Posted 5 December 2024 Just not sure we can go again with the Vesty/Coady partnership. Their alarming lack of pace means the defence has to sit so deep that we invite lots of pressure and shots, which was part of the problem on Tuesday. So I’d be tempted to bring Okoli back in to partner Vesty or Coady, assuming he’s fit.

Ted Maul Posted 5 December 2024 Posted 5 December 2024 They will give us space- attack fast and direct like we did against West Ham and you never know.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 5 December 2024 Posted 5 December 2024 Shouldn’t be scared of them. 2-1 us, let’s have a good weekend

The latter were second yellows. His Eng U21 is his only straight red. Edited 5 December 2024 by JimJams I put Thje instead of The. Kill me.
