I get their reasoning, but they really should be thinking about siblings, shouldn't they, before even running the competition. Especially when you're doing it at Christmas and not the middle of the year.

Merry Christmas son, squeeze your face up close to the widow and you might see the brother you already slightly despise get a photo with a club legend.

There is no good solution here, if you think about siblings, what about families that have five kids. If you let a child (with an adult) bring along a sibling, then you have to let every single child who has a sibling bring them.

This is one of those instances I'm afraid where I accept the rules, like doing 20 in 20MPH zone, it's annoying but I understand why.

It's not about bringing extra people. It's about him having my ticket.

Closest I've ever felt to being one of those angry local newspaper people with a disgusted face.

Can't smile but got a good compo face? 🤣

In all seriousness though, that's an absolute shit show from the club. They are far removed from the fans it's actually sickening!

It’s a mobile ticket downloaded to phone to get in,  arrived today.  I entered for myself and other half.  I missed out but that’s fine for me, I totally get your grief at the situation though as a mum with twins this would have been a total nightmare. But I think turn up with both and pray for a nice person.  By the way it’s not at club shop it’s turnstile 47-49

Same as having the photo taken with FA Cup and Community Shield. They take you on the back way to the shop.

Simple you do it in groups. Of course there needs to be some cut off and they are just creating a headache. Eg how do you prove you are all related etc (should be easy enough with connected family accounts). But there is a number that’s going to satisfy 99% of people, compared to just one person, which clearly leaves the vast majority frustrated.

Can anyone advise. I applied for me, my Mrs and 2 kids for this. All I got back was an email with 1 of my son's name on saying they've been unsuccessful. And no email for me my Mrs or my other son. I now I've just gone onto my online account and I have 4 tickets for all of us. Does this mean I've been successful or not ?

If you have 4 mobile tickets then yes. I applied for two of us but only got one .  Actually just looked at my online account and it shows both applications but only one can be added to wallet.  Have you clicked on them to try add 4 to your wallet x

I applied with my lad, neither of us were successful but we didn’t even get the email to say we were unsuccessful! Nothing in junk mail. I phoned the help desk who delivered the (unsurprising) bad news that we were unsuccessful . They had no idea why neither of us received an email despite being in the ballot!

Similar situation. Except I did get a reply for one son but not the other even though it’s the same email. Also rang to be told he was unsuccessful and that they’ve had a major fault with the emails going out.. however, the endless Christmas discount ones seem to work ok..

Yep went with the one son.

Staff in the shop were lovely, polite helpful and very friendly. Their seniors walking up and down the queue outside and in the stand barking orders were a disgrace as usual.

Vardy was great, and shook my lads hand which has made him a very happy boy.

I’ve seen pictures on social, of groups of 3 or 4 people with him… either they’ve been beyond lucky or it looks like people just rocked up as families and were allowed to do it.

Don’t think I’ve ever been successful In a lcfc ballot. My little lad would’ve loved it which is why I applied but no joy. Then I see an old work colleague on insta who is a Man Utd fan uploading photos of him and his lad with Vardy 😂🤦🏻‍♂️

I appreciate not ideal but could you reach out to that fella who looks like Vardy and your older son get a photo with him?

Isn't Wilfred Brambell dead?

Went today to get a picture with Vardy - he came across as a thoroughly decent bloke!

I'm not going to criticise the players too much as I think there was heightened security at the time but me and my lad a few years back were waiting at Vicarage Road to meet the players after a match. Most didn't even make eye contact, they just jumped straight on the bus as it was all Watford fans shouting to be fair.

Then Vardy came. Again, kind of ignored us all and got on the bus, but as he was walking up the stairs of the bus he glanced out of the driver's window with me and my lad waving at him in our Leicester shirts. He turned around, jumped down the stairs, ignored all the Watford fans pleading for his attention and came over for a quick photo and high five.

It literally made our year that did!

What a guy. I always say they show their true colours when media cameras aren't around. Absolute gentleman and the only one out of 25 players who made an effort/took the risk of saying hello.
