I've never read that, any link to it. ?   My understanding is he only replaced his father as Chairman with the approval of his mother who would have acquired Vichai's shares.

It might or might not happen (League 1).

But, answer truthfully, if someone had said 5 years ago, when we were just back from the lockdown break and going for top 4 that in 5 years time we’d have just been relegated for the second time in that time, on sub 30 points, would you have believed it possible?

I wouldn’t have and I would recall first thinking relegation was possible in autumn 2021 (when Newcastle’s takeover happened and talking to a Newcastle mate).

This decline is sharp. You may not care to admit it but where we are now was not comprehensible 5 years ago. Until we see changes made, I would be cautious of ruling out any such lows.

I blame Brendan Rodgers more than Top or Rudkin. The guy became toxic and we literally couldn’t afford to sack him until we had to come what may re: the financial consequences. The latter are still unfolding.

The only way we'll ever see League 1 again if the buffoon 'Hollowords' was reappointed.

Don't give Rudkin any ideas

Well my exact words to my Newcastle supporting mate when their takeover happened (I think it was October time 2021), was ‘I hope you take Rodgers off us as if we keep him we’ll be relegated inside 3 years’. I think it only actually took 18 months which exceeded the timeframe I expected!

But he only couldn’t be sacked due to the incompetence already unfolding so I see him as more of a symptom.

The communication from the club is something else, I do wonder how the peeps at the top view the club now?

Comms Director got the easiest gig known to man.

Rodgers can **** off but they had plenty of time to stop it getting to this. Everything else they've done (or haven't done) has put us even further in the shit. It was obvious quite early into the 2022/23 season that we could go down and they just let it happen.

It's pretty clear they won't listen to the fans and don't give a shit about anything that's done in the ground regardless, so what next? I think you have to think about what they do actually care about and how you can hurt them through channels that will actually get to them. Ways to publicly humiliate them.

Funny you say that really

The very back end of September 21 was our away defeat to Warsaw. It was whilst out there that I started to really hate the guy. The football (not just at Warsaw away) was absolutely atrocious. We’d fell off a cliff.

The demise actually started at Everton (h) with Ian Nachos very late winner (whenever that was). We were awful that day.

The 2-1 win v Yanited (h) happened around the same time as Warsaw away which helped paper over the cracks

I know you were about the first to call it and got absolute pelters from many. I just read the forum for a long time before I actually joined but I agreed with your every word and felt the same in conversations I had with people in my life.

One that sticks to mind was a 3-0 defeat to Chelsea in the November. I just looked at results from around that time and actually, there were a mixed bag and by all means not a consistently bad run of defeats. I think it was just the way we were playing and the body language of the players and Rodgers, and the manner we were not just losing the games we did but any results we were getting, that had me suspecting a downwards curve. I still couldn’t tell you if I really expected us to go down or if I was just being overly dramatic but the fact we did, and sooner than I had even suggested, shows what a decline this is.

A few more people seemed to turn in the new year (2022) with the Forest defeat in the cup and the 3-2 defeat to Spurs when we were leading with second to go!

Far too many still didn’t think anything of it until the horrific start to the 2022/23 season though.

That my friend is spot on.

The problem we have is its very hard to actually identify and implement something that will get a reaction and be effective.

Match Boycotts and Sit In's will never happen, as, and this is our biggest problem,  the fan base isn't pulling in the same direction.

We have the KPFC brigade who don't see the problems smacking them in their faces, and the "well its a good day out" crew who if we loose or put in another sh1t performance aren't bothered.

The plane message did start tongues wagging, but needed Sky (or any other large broadcaster) to actually show it, the same goes for banners in the ground, and if the club have "had a word" with Sky, the BBC etc. Its dead in the water.

We are in a sorry state.....

It's an absolute disgrace we've had no communication from the club to the fans or manager since relegation.

It appears they're hoping Ruud will walk without compensation if they don't talk to him.

The whole thing is very unprofessional and extremely childish.

They have to sell-up and go, so we can replace the incompetent leadership they've put in place.

There was a post further up about south-east Asian owners.

Us

Sheffield Wednesday - Chansiri

Reading - Dai Yong or whatever his name is

Cardiff - Vincent Tan

Wolves - they seem to be increasingly dissatisfied with Fosun

Then further back you had that Shinawatra crook at Man City, now in prison I think.

People say careful what you wish for, referencing American owners due to this perception of them being asset strippers out to ruin our game. That might be the case with a few at the top but a lot of the American investment is because they actually love the way British sport operates.

And yet nobody labels south-east Asian (you would even just say south Asian and add Venky’s at Blackburn to the list) ownership despite incompetence being displayed in nearly all cases.

And as well as incompetence, you have this thing summed up in your last part of you post of dictatorship type behaviour when it comes to fans expressing of views and paying the media to not show this.

What are they (and by they, i include the board on this), actually doing?

No progression with manager for next season, aren't talking to Ruud, aren't talking to candidates.

No recognition or statement regarding relegation

We haven't even released next year's kit.

The whole club is frozen, it makes me wonder if they are moving in the background looking to sell

They're doing a pretty good job of that themselves!

I personally hope so, no one is more important than our fans and we deserve better treatment than this.

Is Khun Top making such a bad job of this on purpose to get himself out ? So that fans get on his back and then he has a perfect excuse to say I’m out I’m not putting up with this

I think you are onto something here. It has often crossed my mind that there is some self-sabotage going on with Top. Maybe being around the place and being involved with the club is still so painful fof him and not something he wanted to do without his dad. Is he making poor decisions on purpose or at times not making decisions and letting things worsen as a protest for being forced into his dad's shoes without any of his dad's skill for doing it?

Leicester City were under American ownership from 2007 to 2010. It wasn't a particularly glorious chapter in our history.

Ask Manyoo, Arsenal or Chelsea fans how they feel about their clubs' owners and whether they put fans' interests first.  Remember, too, that these were the clubs (along with Liverpool) pushing for a megabucks, closed-shop European Super League.

American "investors" have no great "love for British sport". Their prime motivation is the rate of financial return perceived to be on offer.

For every Ryan Reynolds (who's actually Canadian), there's a Malcolm Glazer or Ellis Short.
