I thought I heard that the club had changed the payroll date to the end of the month back in the summer? Around the time Van Nistelrooy was sacked...

 

Maybe it was backdated for the non football staff.

I honestly have sympathy for people living month to month but It’s been less then 3 weeks since the last payday, it would be 6 weeks to the next one if the payment was sent tomorrow

it means absolutely nothing when the last or next pay day was or will be.  If you are told you are going to be paid on a certain date , you will make plans, and when that’s  that’s changed, it’s terrible management and a bad way to treat your staff. Period.

Come on those justifying it: employer tells employee you’ll be paid on X date - happy Christmas. Employer then withdraws promise by email the day before. Forget people’s circumstances. When people are usually paid. And any other defence, if this was in a Panorama documentary for any other company you’d be straight in General Chat calling them everything under the sun. 
 

This is shameful purely from a basic decency standpoint. But yeah, overreaction like every overreaction in the last 4 years. Top’s the best.

That's correct. Not that Top would know it. He won't have the foggiest what he owns.

Just to put this into perspective this is non playing staff, not the players who earn 10k + a week this is the staff who live off normal wages, who possibly live hand to mouth, who have to budget and they have been given a days notice there pay will be delayed by 12 days ……at the most expensive time of the year. 
 

anyone defending this or trying to justify it, please take a step back take off the blue tinted glasses and recognise this is absolutely wrong and terrible and if this was another club we would be rightly condemning them. 
 

Make no mistake this is the biggest sign yet that we are in big big trouble and not because of PSR this is potentially a major cash flow problem. 
 

Good honest people have been stitched up and possibly as a result will have a very difficult and stressful Christmas, we are meant to be a family club, this is completely unacceptable.

Nah this is truly shocking.. like many others, I know a few people who this has affected. It is 100% true. Some of these people will im sure live payday to payday and have just had their christmas ruined!

Intrigued contractually how this works. If there's a set date for payment that's contractually stated, you'd need 30 days post informing for that to be changed. Assuming as the movement of the pay date to be pre Xmas is almost a "gesture of goodwill" is how they're getting around it

People should be rightfully sceptical. With how much fake media, AI generated imagery around there is a need to be doubtful on believing things straight up
