At least Zhao has the excuse that he was coerced by a group of Chinese players led by a couple of proper wrong uns.

Seriously impressive barrage of scoring from Zhao, in 15 of the 17 frames he won, he produced at least a 50+ break. 
 

If Zhao, Si and Wu continue to rise, them duelling at the top of the game could be fascinating.

Rewind back to the Tour Championship, Williams lost to Ding 10-3 in the first round and pretty much laughed in Rob Walker’s face after he wished him luck for the World Championship.

For sure, Xintong will win world championships in the future but Mark Williams should be in that bracket.

The final this year feels impossible to predict, it could be absolutely anything. 
 

Steve Davis summed it up perfectly last night, you wouldn’t be surprised if Zhao blasts Williams off the table, and you wouldn’t be surprised if Williams teaches Zhao a lesson and schools him. 
 

But I also wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a 18-16/18-17 thriller.

Zhao got very nervy in his last couple of frames against Ronnie before he got over the line. I think that could effect him big time if he starts to get close to it. The weight of winning it at such an early age and the expectations of his entire country on him might just be too much for him against the experience of Williams. Who won't be fazed and won't get blown away or go away easily either. That clearly affected Trump who couldn't shake him off at all. Imagine how it'll effect a first timer like Xintong. 

 

I'll say Williams to win it by a couple or three frames.

Really?, I find him quite dull, and a little irritating when i watch his interviews.  Zhao plays in a very entertaining way, all out attack.
