He’s played 17.6 nineties for Newcastle in the PL - he’s got 10 goals and 4 assists, if they think that’s bad they’re absolute morons.

 

Deserves to start in the top half for a PL side. Newcastle have built an unbalanced squad.

They're not morons in that regard.  It's just that arguably their best player in Gordon is the same position and they're up shit creek PSR wise to fund other purchases.  They saw a deal and took it, and Gordon was always being linked with moves away that never came to fruition.

I usually have a gander at salarysport, that's got him on 100k with us. 120k with Newcastle.

To be fair, he had his faults when he was with us didn't he.

 

We long for him back because of how sh1t we've become, but it wasn't all positive with him here, in fact, rather frustrating at times.

 

But yeah, I'd still have him back.

Gordon has started about 17 and has 5 goals in double the minutes

Barnes continues to have decent numbers yet a lot people always think he's shit  it was the same here, myself included. He frustrated the hell out of me because he'd be god awful for large parts then pop up with a goal.

What's Bruno got to do with it? They don't play either/or they're both in their first choice midfield.  Bruno, Tonali, Joelinton.  I'm just saying that he's subbed out Barnes and Joelinton, he's not singled our Barnes.

Whatever you think of him, id wager he'd at least double the G & A's of Mavididi...id guess tripple it.  It would be a no brainer signing

Barnes' issues are his defensive work rate. Every left back seems to struggle playing behind him.
