Why don't we all buy a football scarf in another colour - eg Biue and red or pink and white... in bulk these might cost £3 or 4 quid.

Saturday 12:30 games are hardly lively at the best of times. Let alone asking people to get up for standing in the cold at 10am that morning or whatever.

As others have eluded to, other fanbases wouldn't have a problem organising a protest but our demographic is different, I'm sure of it. Vast majority of the stadium wouldn't know who Jon Rudkin was if he sat down next to them in the stadium.

The majority are passive. Sad but true.

This will only work if organised through the fan group channels. It won't if it's just ad hoc with some random volunteers. We have Union FS, Foxes Trust etc - they should take the lead.

Why should it be up to fan groups to organise a protest? There’s the rest of the fanbase … though I do think the communication for this has been poor.

There was huge support for a protest at this game when this thread was created in the wake of the Fulham game on the 18th of January. In that post it was decided that the protest would be held on the 15th of January.

That’s nearly a full month and absolutely nothing has been set in stone. Not a peep from any official or unofficial supporter group. All we know is “Join us at 11:30 no Saturday, 15th February 2025, outside the ground”.

Now we're less than 4 days until this is supposed to start and they're on here asking for volunteers.

yea, the actual details should have been communicated out by now. I get the whole "want to keep the club in the dark" stuff but let's be honest, they do have an eye on here, they'll know about it if not the details and will have already coordinated with the police to shut it down in accordance with the new anti protesting laws passed by the tories the other year.

I agree to an extent, but I'd imagine Union FS have to tread a careful line.

They've kind of got to behave, to some extent, because they are reliant upon the club to keep increasing their area, allowing them tifo's etc...

I know one of them has mentioned they will be there, but I do think there's a difference between taking part, and organising. We might never see tifo's etc again if King Power gestapo were to catch wind.

You've also got to bare in mind that although its a peaceful protest, for every 100 people, there's some idiot that will look for trouble or cause it through stupidity. Doubt Union FS would want to be directly responsible for that if they were to have organised it.

As for foxes trust, that might as well be ran by Rudkin.

Yep. Feels like it's better to do it properly at a later date than do it half heartedly now.

Lets face it, the season is done. It's not like we're asking the club to act tomorrow to save our season.

Best we can hope for is that proper protesting action leads to an *actual* review (as opposed to the pretend one at the end of the 22/23 season) & Rudkin/Whelan are moved on in the summer. It feels like thats more likely to happen off the back of a properly organised event rather than 50 odd people turning up on Saturday.

Apologies if this sounds downbeat or dismissive of Saturday's plans, I don't mean it to be. I'm just not sure in its current format that Saturday will do any party any good.

If it was organised with more notice and a real defined plan the club can't stop it.

You have more numbers and move as one t the ground in a march.

The fact we are this scared of the club tells it's own story.

If a group of just stop Oil can glue themselves to the road and cause chaos surely a bigger movement can make an impression without the police shutting it down.

How many turnstiles are there, 50? What about Gluing yourself to the entrance of each turnstile 90 mins before kick off :nigel:

the point is more that the police have more powers to shut protests down as a result of the response to just stop oil, all under the Public Order Act 2023

But we are already going to the match as a crowd. They can't stop people attending in numbers to match where the safety protocols are in place already.

They shouldn’t take the lead. Fan groups are groups of different opinions - you alienate each other within a group by doing that.

Won’t matter. Look up Section 34 and football fans. Police have the ability to disperse collections of fans

I remember trying to boot the directors wooden door down at the old main stand after the Sheffield United debacle under O Neil. No volunteers in yellow bibs needed.

Or when the G Block invaded the pitch via the old members terrace to protest about Pleat and Shipman.

I admire the intent of ol' @ProjectReset ....but herding kittens is a fool's errand.

A simple 'everyone who wants to moan vocally about some or all of  top / Whelan / rudkin / the Dutchman' meet outside that pub outside the holiday inn 10 mins AFTER final whistle

It's not a protest though. Leicester people should do what we do best. Moan.

A big moan after the game. Idgaf if moaning is covered under section 34 clause a paragraph 1. I enjoy moaning.

That’s literally the criticism labelled at the law in question. Any gathering inclusive of gesturing etc can be define as a protest now.

Hence you are better to accept the potential definition and feed it through to thr coppers

Maybe project reset is Rudkin. Getting everyone focused on this protest for it only to fizzle to nothing stops any other protest.

And the van vryone has chipped in for will be displaying the message "Rudkin is a very nice man and good at his job"

Be amazing if the ground is half empty because the club and the police 'disperse' the folk that were supposed to be going to the game.

Btw I’m near certain the club will release some kind of statement this week. I can feel it

Definitely. They’ll quote all the tickets

T’s and C’s and ground regulations. It will be  the most North Korean statement to date.
