AC Milan manager Sergio Conceicao says his players are "feeling the tension" after a section of fans protested during Sunday's 2-1 Serie A home defeat by Lazio.

The Curva Sud stand was empty for the first 15 minutes of the game and, when the fans did arrive, they called the players "shameful" and demanded American owners RedBird sell the club.

It was the Rossoneri's third straight league defeat dropping them to ninth in the table, 17 points behind leaders and city rivals Inter Milan.

They were also knocked out of the Champions League play-offs by Feyenoord last month.

"We discussed the atmosphere and this is the first time I've experienced this in my career. Mistakes weigh heavier under such conditions," Conceicao told DAZN.

"I was a player, I know when it's like that, your boots feel like they're burning. When a dribble or a pass doesn't work or you're behind, it burns even more."

Mattia Zaccagni put Lazio ahead in the first half but Samuel Chukwueze's scored a later equaliser for the hosts after a Strahinja Pavlovic red card.

However, former Chelsea forward Pedro netted the winner for the visitors from the penalty spot in the eighth minute of stoppage time.

"It is not an easy moment," added Conceicao. "The players feel the tension around the club.

"The only way forward is to work hard, take pride in our colours and strive to change the situation."

Maybe a similar approach could work for the Man United home game.

Except people arrive to their seats for the 14th minute.

Are there posters on here that did not come to the protest that now would?

I didn't go to the first protest due to work commitment, i would attend the next one but would personally think it would be better to do 'not turn up' protest and stay outside of the ground all game.... But knowing our soft fans, most wouldn't commit to this.

The hostility they would face from others would be so grim.

These are the same people that most likely leave early and are passive to our situation though, so fcuk 'em.

We need a bit more hostility if anything. I'd happily do a full boycott if I knew it was going to make a difference and others were doing it.

UFS not turning up for the Man Utd game would be brilliant.

Trouble is if you do boycott the game then it’s need to be a full on boycott, don’t give the club the opportunity to resell your ticket to a day tripper otherwise it will negate the impact and actually work in favour of the club who will have a full ground of happy paying customers rather than dissenting fans.

Have I missed something here?

On the 21st Feb, the admin of the twitter account posted a tweet stating there would be an “announcement soon”.

But there’s been no announcement…?

This morning I got an email from the club telling me as someone with a booking history I can buy a ticket for the Man U game (I have a season ticket)

This afternoon I've had an email from the club promoting selling my ticket for the game on the resale platform

Really do think you guys should reconsider the stance to not post on X. So many are no longer seeing your really great articles.

Cheers. Since Musk took over, the traffic from there dropped like a stone anyway to be honest. Most people either go to the site direct, go via NewsNow or if a link gets posted on here.

We’re lucky we don’t have to chase ad revenues so if we’re uncomfortable with something we can just bin it.

Always welcome anyone sharing stuff wherever they like though. Especially at the moment when it feels like a lot of us are trying to make the case for change to other fans.

Was there any reaction from the club to the protest? Ive not seen anything. Its gone down exactly how I had feared ... quietly.

I think they probably think they got a way with one. We need to be bigger, louder and persistent.

Man Utd and Spurs have been bigger, louder and persistent but still have the same owners. They even have the added bonus of hatchet man, Jim Ratcliffe. Comparing the way European teams protest  or sing at matches is just so different to English fans. It won’t change.

Disgraceful behaviour ! At least the pooch has some manners.

(Great article btw)

The sight of an enormous man walking a small dog around Leicester City’s multi-million pound training ground the following morning, presumably stopping every now and again to take a slash on the pristine turf, appears to have been a bit of a shock to those who rolled up the Seagrave driveway.
