The first thing we need to do before we even look at new players is get rid of 3/4 of the squad.

I can’t watch them play for us anymore. It’s making me feel sick. Wout Faes. Just let him leave on a free. He’s absolutely useless. How are Faes and Kristiansen international footballers!?

3/4? are you having a laugh, its more than that,
we need to get get rid of BDR, Ayew, Winks, Faes, Vesty, VK, Soumare, Ndidi, JJ, Coady, Daka, Ward and Vardy

we need a fresh fresh start, get some young hungry players in, none of these chancing time wasting plebs

Would banzuzi be realistic in the championship? I feel like it would be

Feel like that makes too much sense and we can get a loan with obligation to buy but Rudkin would still mess that up negotiating with himself.

Monaco and West Ham were seemingly after him in January so unless his form has gone off a cliff I don’t think it would be unfortunately

I like the idea of a loan with obligation, seeing that he would likely not be involved in west hams first team straight away anyway and likely not Monaco’s.  Although, as we are dealing with ourselves, an option would make more sense … we wouldn’t be planning to do ourselves dirty and there’s no reason to corner yourselves with an obligation if it’s not working for the player or us.

But the only issue is that leuven may need the cash now for the replacement but it certainly should be easy enough to deal with yourself.

Given that le fee and Edward’s were willing to do that does show that the players are open to these moves these days.

We haven’t really worked with leuven on much, we’ve tried a few things to help them out but other than the Hirst loophole, (and sowah) we’ve not utilized it for our gain at all.

Kyogo Furuhashi apparently available from Rennes already this summer. £4m being mentioned.

Won't get resale value at his age, but surely scores 15-20 in the championship and repays that instantly. If he'd make the step down of course!

Starting early.

Potential Ndidi alternative/replacement.

Caspar Jander - Nurnberg. Currently averaging the most tackles per90 in Bundesliga 2.

Continues to impress, could be available for £5-6 million, but some Bundesliga big boys might be sniffing around.

Received his first Germany U21 call up for the current international break.

While I agree with the sentiment the sad reality is that, with the exception of Vardy, Ward and Iverson, all the rest are in contract so unless they agree personal terms with another club we are stuck with them.  That will be the stumbling block as we have been overpaying on salaries for years.  A young player might take a modest cut in exchange for better opportunities and the potential for more further down the line but the likes of BDR and Ayew aren’t going anywhere until their contracts are up.  We might be able to unload Vestegard if he was told he wouldn’t get first team football as he wants to play for Denmark but he is probably the only one in that position.

Playing the u21 is definitely an option I could get behind provided we can live with a load of overpaid crap on the bench or sat at home while their contracts run down but it is highly unlikely we will be able to afford much in the way of transfer fees or wages to rebuild for a couple of seasons.
