Totally thought he only came because he was promised funds.  However, reading his comment along the lines of wanting players but withing the clubs restrictions reads to me he has been conned...sounds familiar?

To be honest he should've done his due diligence. Anyone on here could've predicted this. He even had the benefit of first hand evidence of how bad we were by managing against us twice. I feel for him, he's obviously been let down, but he should've dodged us like a bullet really.

But in all seriousness though, it does wind me up that most clubs have done hardly any business this window yet they will all be scurrying around on deadline day trying to get deals done.

But this is my whole point. An up and coming youngster from one one those leagues would usually be regarded as one for the future and given time to settle in & develop. What we need right now are players who will come straight into our first team and immediately improve it. Unfortunately those players are hard to come by.

Depends on how good you think players like Cordova Reid and Ayew are (or even Mcateer considering a better bench could help us stay up). If you think they're better in their positions than the best young player in a foreign league then I understand why you would think why it's hard to find an improvement.

Personally I dont think Ayew, BCDR and McAteer are any good so I see there being plenty of options abroad for us to improve on them, both currently and in the future.

Or...he was unemployed and wanted to earn some dosh, and if it all went pear shaped he can throw it out there that he wasn't backed in the transfer market which is why we were relegated, he inherited a bad hand etc etc.

Not every manager is going into a perfect scenario - the whole league bar a few clubs is at the mercy of PSR - this isn't football manager.

Doing my head in looking on this forum everyday and seeing no new signing's,as a club have we gave in to the fact that we’re getting relegated??

I didn’t think anything could irritate me more than our lack of activity in this window.

But…

”ain’t”

Is giving it a good battle!

Let's be honest ... looking from the outside we are a shambles... a manager trying to find his feet, a squad who don't look to interested, a good bet for relegation, no real quality in the team .... fans who thankfully seeming to wake up to our predicament... its now a damage limitation season

We will never know what he was or wasn't promised.  As for due diligence  ...Cooper was given money to spend, the fact that he did not spend it wisely imo is a different matter.  However, I doubt at interview they said to RVN "BTW we don't have a pot to p.ss in but do you want the job anyway" 😉

What happened to Evan Ferguson? he was the striker of choice

Can't afford to buy him and probably wouldn't want to anyway given his injury record. Can't get him on loan as we already have Buonanotte on loan from Brighton.

We've already signed someone, we've paid off a manager (again), and we're rumoured to be after at least one more... what were you expecting?

I was expecting to sign at least 4 half decent players and give it a go , go down fighting mate

At least he didn't do the double negative with "never signing" or "no players".

I think the hype from a year ago faded will him not pushing on.  he is young and could well make it but also i think it silly money being talked about.

If I stop touching myself and you, will we sign some players

I tried it for a couple of days last week. I ended up short-tempered and irritable, and woke up covered in jism with no new signings.

It wasn't even my jizz.

Not many new managers walk into a club that is performing above expectation.

They’ve taken the job because someone else was perceived to have failed.
