DJ Barry Hammond Posted 1 February 2025 Posted 1 February 2025 I’ve heard this guy can be so smooth. Rudkin; make it real or else forget about it. 1
Lambert09 Posted 1 February 2025 Posted 1 February 2025 Anyone else want to hide from the match thread in here and we can pretend we are signing the next tete? 2
JimJams Posted 1 February 2025 Posted 1 February 2025 On hearing of our interest he decided to tune in to the game today in order to see what we were all about. 10 seconds in and any deal was dead.
Alf Bentley Posted 1 February 2025 Posted 1 February 2025 At this point, I'd be delighted to hear that we've signed Alison Moyet and that she's coming on for the second half at Goodison (centre back, preferably).

Tielemans63 Posted 1 February 2025 Posted 1 February 2025 Feel for the lad. Might not ever get the chance to fulfill his dream of playing up front with Jordan Ayew now. It's a cruel game. 1
Saxondale Posted 1 February 2025 Posted 1 February 2025 (edited) Can’t be arsed to read through the other pages to see if somebody has already made a Carlos Santana joke, so here goes: We’ve got more chance of signing Carlos Santana. Edited 1 February 2025 by Saxondale 1

The Staff also reported that Atlético MG does not have a development project for the player. The English club that wanted the player has already withdrawn the offer.

Skidmark Posted 1 February 2025 Posted 1 February 2025 You don't get deals like this done this late in the window. No-goer. 1
StanSP Posted 1 February 2025 Posted 1 February 2025 Sounds like a power play by the agent to see there's an unhappy player at the club and wants to leave. Wouldn't be surprised if we went back in for him. 1
davieG Posted 1 February 2025 Posted 1 February 2025 Now, it seems, the Foxes have pulled out of the proposal altogether as Atlético’s slow response to the offer has made them believe that they cannot get a deal done. That’s according to the player’s agency, Velop4 Sports Limited, who have released a statement on the matter. “The staff of the athlete Alisson Santana hereby clarifies the events involving the official proposal made by Leicester City, from England to Clube Atlético Mineiro, which was disclosed by the press this Friday,” it reads. “The offer represented a unique opportunity for Alisson Santana to directly enter the Premier League. “At 19 years of age, the direct transfer from Brazil to the elite of English football would be a significant achievement, not only for the player, but also for Atlético, which, in addition to receiving a considerable amount compatible with the market at this time, would also keep a percentage of the athlete’s economic rights for future negotiations. “However, it is important to clarify that Leicester City’s withdrawal was due to Atlético Mineiro’s delay in responding to the proposal. When the club finally made a statement in the negotiations, Leicester understood that there was no more time to make the transfer possible. In view of this, the English club decided to withdraw the offer and end the negotiations. “The situation becomes even more worrying when one observes that, to date, there is no clear development project for Alisson within Atlético itself. “Thus, in addition to losing an extremely advantageous negotiation opportunity, the club also fails to provide its greatest asset – a phrase repeated by the board on numerous occasions – with a highly relevant showcase for its value, considering the club’s maintenance of the percentage in the transfer.”
JimJams Posted 1 February 2025 Posted 1 February 2025 It'd be interesting to know when we made the offer. It looks like this one was out of our hands in that it's been delayed at their end and so there's nothing we could do about that. However if the offer only went in very recently then it's on us for leaving it too late in the first instance.

Surely you’d want to be meeting the kid before you go ahead with a deal? Why wait so long in the window? I noted that top is still around so perhaps we are trying to get someone in. But this one looks a bot strange to me. 1
