Keep it close for 50 minutes then get Daka, Mavididi and Buonanotte on.

Their bench is horrible

Their starting 11 is horrible

Glad Mavididi has been dropped again to be honest. He has the technical ability as well as the physical ability to be a premier league winger but his footballing brain is miles below league level. Doesn’t know when to release the ball or how recieve it.

If we keep it close they will nick a 1-0 or 0-0 (which suits them).

We need to go for it, we are so much better than them at creating chances.

Let’s have it.

Would only work if they leave space in behind which they won’t because they’ll play turgid football.

Ayew is the right one for this game, it's going to be an ugly attritional game and Facundo would get snuffed out too easily on current form. Jordan is just better at holding onto the ball and breaking up play.

... He's going to have an absolute stinker now I've said that, isn't he?

Those saying how bad Everton’s starting 11 is, by my reckoning, the only ones from our 11 to get into theirs would be..

Hermansen (and that’s not slight on Pickford is a very good keeper).

Vardy (but I don’t know enough about Beto).

BEK in their midfield for Garner.

So yeah, doesn’t really bode well for us…

Way to go... always bringing that sports jinx into the mix...

I don’t think it’s that harsh on Jakub really.

Mads is one of the best goalkeepers in the league and the vast majority of his stand-ins for Mads Jakub hasn’t actually been THAT good. He’s just been better than Ward, which isn’t exactly hard.

I agree with that.

We won four points in the two games where we had Hermansen in goal and RVN in the dugout, and we weren't out of it at SJP when he got injured. I seriously doubt that we'd have gone on a seven game losing streak with Mads in goal to be honest.

You must have forgotten last time we played them.  He was dogshit and offered nothing.  He didn’t even attempt to take on an out of position Ashley Young who is even older and less mobile than he is.

He stinks out most of our attacks by not passing forward quickly instead holding onto the ball and trying to dive. Nothing comes from these free kicks apart from being sent backwards.

Then ask how many of ours get in their 11 though…

I normally do it the other way. I'd take Ndiaye, Tarkowski and Doucoure. Wouldn't want any of the others

Would've kept Jakub in after Spurs and played him in the cup and bought Mads in after that one. Then again, he's our number 1 and if Ruud feels starting him adds a percentage to our chances then great.

Win today, any scoreline, any performance.. drag them back in to the battle ahead of a tough run for us

I’d take both their centre backs as ours are awful.

Their right back can’t be worse than JJ and the left back is probably on a par with VK. There’s an argument for their entire back 4 over ours.

Doucoure as you say but Gueye as well.

I haven’t seen much of Lindstrom but he’d have to be bad if we want our options over him.

Their team is bad, hence why they are in a relegation battle every season. To be fair, I'd take both centre backs. Wouldn't be bothered about the full backs.

Still sadly better enough than ours that they are favourites to win though.

Better enough? I think you mean "more betterer" .. 😐
