Club will be ending this arrangement for you soon

Yeah, I figured as much.

Not sure how they could stop it, though: Easy enough to transfer an NFC pass to a diff device, or use an old phone to store the pass as if it was an old physical ST card.

Other than ID checks on the turnstiles (and even then we're similar enough to get away with it 😂)

Seriously contemplating not bothering.

My apathy for the club's owners is so strong that I'm considering not bothering anymore.

Top and Rudkin and their associates have killed my love for the club, the club that my ancestors were actually part of forming.

I’m into my 44th season, don’t have anything to renew these days, the club only wants me for Brentford on a Friday night and to charge me a fortune for it too.

I’ve rattled around Filbert Street with 8000 fans, felt far more valued then, feel absolutely nothing now.

The only time I feel like going is to protest.

Would like to think I could give it up but in my heart I know I would regret it the minute it’s done.

Been there through thick and thin since the early 70’s and in 2016 whilst sat in that seat I experienced the greatest day of my life.

It’s gonna take a hell of a lot for me to let that go - however bad things get.

Do what I’ll be doing if it’s forced upon us.

Buy the cheapest phone that supports NFC download your tickets to that. And if you can’t go then pass it around because it’s a worthless phone that’s used just for that.

Go with a few mates that I don’t get to see all too regularly, so for the rest of this year forward it’s more a social thing than any sort of love for the product on the pitch, imagine it’ll stay that way until certain board members leave

Yeah probably, but finding it more and more difficult to justify each year. The only thing that stops me giving it up is knowing I won't be able to get one again for a few years, and I think I've got some pretty decent seats as well.

This was me.

Once you give it up, it's easy.  It's choosing to do this in the first place which is the hardest thing to do.

The club knows this.

A few seasons in the Championship, which is highly likely as things stand, will see you get your seat back if you really want it.

If I was you, I'd step away, but it's easier said than done lol

For sure. Through the good times and the bad.

My love for the club will never dwindle, but more importantly for me it’s mine and my son’s thing. The one thing where it’s just me and him. Where we forget everything for a few hours and be in our happy place and make some unreal memories.

He loves it so much and luckily for him right now he’s oblivious to the shit show it currently is. Couldn’t take him against Palace (too late getting home school the next day blah blah blah) and obviously the game didn’t help but I didn’t enjoy it anywhere as near as much without him being there, whereas before he was going to games I still did. Hopefully enough people will have had enough for me to be able to get him a season ticket rather than me ringing up every other week to get him a ticket.

I take my stepdaughter to games, constantly moving my ST seat to enable us to sit together. I’m hoping to get her a season ticket (tried for the past couple of years). I wonder how points she’ll need to finally get one?

Like you pointed out, footballs not the same when she’s not there. We always make a day of it, so even if the games are as bad as they are now, we still have a good day.

Good luck getting your lad a ST

I want to get me and the lad a st ticket, I’ve got more than enough but the lads got 25.. I think he’s another season out so might have to do a single application next season as a joint application will get rejected then try for him the season after.. will be interesting to see the cut off points should they go down.. last season was 55

Is that possible with mobile tickets :dunno:

You could easily do it with a shared extra phone handset. Use an old smart phone just to have the season ticket with a pay as you go sim and pass code access to wallet.

Mobile phones are just the stepping stone so will only be a brief solution for ticketing.

Facial recognition to gain entry into most things will be the end goal and it’s almost here.  Probably 3-4 years max.

USA already testing it at a venue and it’s no secret as a quick search will show that mobile ticketing is just the bridge between the old paper/plastic World and the new digital World.

Voted undecided but I feel, when it gets to it, I'll probably renew my ST.

The issue is it's getting more expensive and other commitments take priority for me now. I used to go football no matter what but nowadays I don't feel like that.

Very much undecided. The problem is how much more expensive it currently is for games if you're not a STH as well as how depressing it's been going to games in the last 2 PL seasons. Will ultimately be decided on what changes are made at board level and the price of the season tickets, if we go down and they raise prices I can see a load of fans giving up ST's.

Myself and my son are thinking of not renewing our STs, if we moved to members would our points move with us or would we be back to zero?

Your points stay as long as you don’t change supporter number, which you won’t.

Dropped my ST for this season, not missed it to be honest, after watching the footy for the past couple of seasons it's more fun to do other things.

Even though I’m totally hacked off with the mess they have made of the club over the last few years. I will renew.

I really don’t know when or if I will actually make the effort to got to another game this season. I’ve just had enough of going down there to for another repeat performance and coming away in a foul mood.

I don’t know if Ruud is the man but we are a basket case of a club at the moment and I’m hoping there will be a total reset on and off the pitch in the near future.

Leicester til I die, actually feels like a curse at the minute.

It’s not the football that’s putting me off. If we are shit I’m not wholly bothered about that. What puts me off, is I genuinely don’t think the board gives a shit about the fans. I don’t think they are bothered if people don’t renew their tickets, because I think they’re that deluded they think a whole queue of people will just get tickets in those not renewing absence.

The club are so out of touch with its fanbase it’s untrue, we’ve replaced mature kids football teams doing fun things at half time, with betting adverts.

If I feel valued as a fan, I wouldn’t be considering giving the ticket up.
